I don't understand the "hate" agains ABS. To be honest, I don't even care whether the car has ABS or not. Just need to keep in mind that if you're driving a car without ABS, you need to pump the brakes in case of hard braking (in an emergency) to avoid just sliding to the object in front of you or out of the road. I don't even mind having other safety systems like TC and ESC. Of course when you want a track car etc, you want a car without them or ability to turn them off (I guess in most cars you can turn off the TC, idk about ESC). I've never really felt like I have a lack of control when I've been driving my dad's new Seat Leon except on snow when the TC feels like it's on all the time but I can turn that off I want to. If you want an rwd toy to play around, you prolly shouldn't even buy a car that's new enough to have ESC anyway.
It's offensive when you're using it to be offensive, which you are. What's BS is that you're scared of being offensive.
My current car lacks TC, ABS and ESC. First car had none too. Second car had ABS but not TC or ESC. Third had ABS and TC.
Kinda surprised there's no "hate" against Electronic Stability Control...yet. You do realise that ESC is an extension of ABS equipment, which is supposed to keep a vehicle from spinning out in the first place. However, they're mostly disabled because of all the show-offs that just wanna hoon their cars into a tree.
I'm not sure if my dad's '98 VW T4 has ABS. Apparently he did lock it up once, but that was in the rain. His brakes are completely worn right now, not really driving it untill we can afford a new set.
Should be noted that with opel reliability. My corsa had a few ABS unit replacements and it still never worked (I tried deliberately triggering it, I tend to threshold anyway)
Yes, we have figured out that by now already, no need to spam that... And if you have any idea how ESC works, you should already know that ABS is part of it.
Same here man. I hate steelies, just the black steelies. Grey steelies on the other hand...Ehhh, that's neutral in my book.
Steelies are life. steelies will take over hubcaps and rims. volk and work will make steelies. WE WILL REIGN
Surprisingly, The Grand Marquis does have traction control. It is good when you are not expecting any tire spin but, like most TC, it is useless when you are trying to climb hills.
an road deck made out of energy for EMS. works in star wars, so it could possible work IRL but we may be limited with current technology
It has floors in the back which is a major step up from my 86. One big issue is the shifter, it's sloppier than your mom's anus.
Come drive in Manhattan for a day my young friend. it's a full on no holds barred grand prix with millions of cars jockeying for every last car length of distance traveled and it all takes place at less than 40mph. there are more cars in Manhattan than people in whatever Canadian city you live in. never has an exaggeration been so vindicated and warrented. it's Nascar slowed down with a million more cars. no place for kids I tell you.
