Really looking forward to this. You did a wonderful job with the original mod! It'd be great if you were able to implement some more of the car setup options they used on the real cars to fine tune the handling even more (left/right weight bias, panhard bar/track bar adjustments, cross weight/wedge adjustments). Also, I do not know anything about the mechanics of the game so I have no clue if this would even really help or not, but just thinking out loud... Considering how the AI struggle to carry as much speed through the turns as human drivers do even when following script paths, is there any way to do a version of the car just to use for AI drivers that has more grip that would let them corner at more realistic speeds?
As i said, you are godsent. I am so excited for this. You always do an amazing job and your Original Gen 6 Camaro is still my most used car mod. Amazing, simply amazing work!
Speaking of customization, could you possibly make a gag configuration with the bulky disaster of a rear wing poking fun at people expecting the car to blow over like they did with the first gen body of the gen 5s due the bulky wing?
Will this have front and rear clips like the bolide? I don't know if it'd be possible but I know you said something about it for the lore gen 7.
That is not the case with this one, that would add more levels of complexity to it and would impact performance. The loregen7 only has it because it consists of three distinct clips and because I want that to be a quite detailed vehicle.
How about a generic body for other manufacturer concepts in addition to the real ones? Or maybe a BeamNG lore friendly concept? I think that would be nice
First body in progress?? I modeled this myself, using a generic body I made as a base and the original gen 6 model as a reference, but low/mid poly instead of high poly as is in the original. Away from home until Friday, no more updates on this body or anything else until then. Do keep in mind that when I am done with this body, there are still 2 more to go (Mustang and Camry) so do not be alarmed that you have not seen any updates on them as of yet. I am still learning how to model bodies so everything is subject to change.
That looks good. Do you know any tutorials for making bodies? I had a lot of trouble modelling the body for my truck and I'm still not really satisfied with it
This is what I've been using to maintain good modeling/topology principles. This is not my first attempt at modeling bodies; I have attempted teice before, but those were mainly for learning rather than using. I would recommend paying attention to learning the principles of modeling and topology instead of simply following the tutorial exactly.
