    another idea for the late facelift if you don't like the current variety

    T A I L L I G H T - B A R

    (I know the f body has absolutely nothing to do with the c3 but it's just an idea:eek:)

    it wouldn't make a ton of sense for a late 70s car but you could always have some chrome trim around it to make it look slightly period correct

    We'll see :) Planned model years run all the way up until 1984/1985, so that's not entirely unrealistic.

    Still WIP.
    Made some more progress on the Regulation Nation Vendetta. Changed the rubber strip to a metal accent, and added padded bumper guards. Also cut a spot for turn signals in the bumper.
    Just in case that's not realistic for the time period, I've also come up with 2 alternatives for front signals;

    4 round headlights for 1973-1974, and 2 rectangular headlights for 1975 until the introduction of the plastic bumper Vendetta in the fall of 1978.

    Any chance you could do a Baldwin style front end? upload_2021-1-21_23-4-43.png

    Not currently, it'd require some pretty nasty and obvious panel cuts to do it without chopping off the front end to remodel just that one spot. Not worth it right now IMO, especially since I still need to do the UVs.

    Still have it :) Or rather them;

    The single squares are for 1975-1978, after that I'm switching to the quad lights (Since with the plastic front bumper cover I think I can safely integrate the signals into the bumper and theoretically still pass the required period bumper crash tests.)

    Some more JBeam progress;
    screenshot_2021-01-24_10-15-08.png
    Don't mind the meshslap half body, I needed that to verify my wheel placement and track width settings. The only things JBeamed currently are the frame and suspension.

    Again, I've decided to JBeam the suspension first, then model everything around the finalized position of all the nodes.

    Also in-case you're wondering, no it does not, and will not overwrite the original Vendetta;

    Not like you'd want to do an old/new comparison... Well I guess we'll see about that later ;)

    Yes, iirc it was a community fix that was posted somewhere around here, idk if it's still up anymore or not. Though, tbh, it doesn't work that well, and is definitely showing its age in comparison to current content.

    You're in luck :) I like them too.

    Also, it's now officially rolling under its own power!

    None of this is final btw, it's just temporary stuff to get things moving.

    So will we have all the lights you did? I liked all ones.
    Also, which engines will it use? Own ones or Gavril?
    And will we have cabrio version?

    Amazing, so the old version will work as a separate mod? Really cool idea because I liked that one! Will the new version also have breakable body or no?

    More JBeam progress;

    The body's not UVd and textured yet, these are some basic flat testing materials I use early on as placeholders.

    Still need to tweak some areas and rigidify it more, though it's a major step forward :)

    So smooooth...

    Dont mind me, its just that even after a year of modelling i couldnt get a decent polyflow that in turn caused the reflections be teared and ripped. But your work is truly astonishing.
    Also square taillights look sick. I wasnt a fan of idea until you showed them and they somehow fit the general styling (imo)

    Yes.

    More JBeam work;

    screenshot_2021-01-25_06-46-32.png screenshot_2021-01-25_06-46-37.png
    Currently working on getting all the major JBeam structures in-place so I can fine tune overall vehicle weight and the suspension.

    Got the roof panels JBeamed and in-game;
    screenshot_2021-01-25_17-06-56.png

    Most of my time today went into the suspension, which is why more stuff hasn't been JBeamed. Overall the suspension's roughly 90% complete.... All major structures are working as intended, what's left really is just fine tuning and limiter beam placement... Both of which will require more of the car to be completed first ;)

    Dude you are working super fast idk how, yesterday you only had the frame and wheels and now all of this, do you just have a lot of free time or are you just so experienced you can model and Jbeam everything perfectly on first try without any unintended stuff, or maybe is there some trick to work super efficiently? I don't think I've ever seen another modder do huge progress as fast as you
