As far as I know the vast majority of American semi trucks from the 1980s had turbocharged I6 diesels.

Maybe have a race version of it? I think truck racing is still popular somewhere...

Well, yeah, but some trucks have V12s. I suggested it mostly for fun. (And for pulling 5 trailers maybe?)

Ya know one thing that would be fun? Tandem trailers. It would be so cool flying around corners with trailer flying all over the place.

Oh yes! In Brazil, there is a truck racing series called Formula Truck. There is also a really fun sim where you can race these trucks in. It's so great fun :D Google it :)

Still do have I6's, and the euro style trucks tend to be I6 too.

Apparently the I6 tuned correctly is very well mechanically balanced and scales from small to large displacements with few alterations. V6 and V8 engines have additional vibrations which can cause stress on the crankshaft, which is probably pretty bad for a truck hauling loads across the country all day every day.

Same article also says something about long lifetime and superior low end torque, both good for a truck.

I would guess at most this truck would have to tip the scales at somewhere OVER 15,000 lbs at most but who knows...it could be between 13,000lbs to 15,000lbs...but I will be using this to smash up puny little Covets with when its finally released!

yes I saw that but he says there are parts missing from the truck so I was guessing at an approximate range of weight where the truck would be when its completed with those missing parts on it.....

Yeah, after I posted, that's what I realized you were doing. He says he expects them to add a couple hundred pounds, but you can guess if you want.

well I did what I could although thinking about it now, 13,000 to 15,000lbs does sound like a decent range for a truck of that size...but time will tell to see if this is accurate..

As far as i know, half of the trucks all over word use I6 turbocharged diesel.
Another one popular is diesel V8 and diesel V6, both charged of course.
Power output is not bigger or better, no mater was engine I6, V6 or V8, they all are close to same.

V8 Diesel engines are very common here in the Euro Zone and I mean are you gonna base it on a Euro zone 6 Engine Gabester? or are you gonna do something rather than save the planet you would kill the planet with it??
