The "Short Frame" is misleading since it doesn't look like a true "slightly shorter" wheelbase compared to a real-world Bronco or Blazer, as when you compare them side-by-side to a Standard Frame pickup, their lengths are exactly the same.
    screenshot_2025-12-26_01-25-17.png
The Extended Short Frame isn't even the same length as the Long Bed Frame either compared to a Suburban, Yukon XL or Excursion for example. Real-world extended length SUVs are supposed to have a single cab long bed frame length.

Just noticed a small mistake: the D15 V8 Crew Cab (the MY 98-03 blue one) has the Late Right Mirror (MY 98-03) on the right door but the Left Mirror (MY 92-97) on the left door.

Also, about the 4.5 and 5.5 SOHC V8s, I noticed that the 4.5 can get closer to or even exceed the amount of torque it produces based on its nominal displacement, which is 450Nm for 4.5 liters. Specifically, it produces:

    - 422Nm with the Late Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust
    - 450Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust
    - 459Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust Flanges/Side Pipes
    - 468Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and no exhaust
    - 478Nm with the Race Intake, the Stage 1 Performance Long Block and the V8 Exhaust Flanges/Side Pipes
    - 488Nm with the Race Intake, the Stage 1 Performance Long Block and no exhaust.

In comparison, the 5.5 is a bit light on torque. It produces:

    - 456Nm with the Late Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust
    - 484Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust
    - 492Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and V8 Exhaust Flanges/Side Pipes
    - 501Nm with the Race Intake, Stock Long Block and no exhaust
    - 505Nm with the Race Intake, the Stage 1 Performance Long Block and the V8 Exhaust Flanges/Side Pipes
    - 515Nm with the Race Intake, the Stage 1 Performance Long Block and no exhaust.

    This tells me two things:
    1) the 4.5 is the real workhorse of the 2 engines and
    2) the 5.5 is more of a bored-out version of the 4.5 than a stroked-out one, so it's got thinner bore spacing between its cylinders than the 4.5.

Reposted trivia again since I got no comments on my separate post of it:
    • As of 0.14, the Sea Blue intermediate version of the V8 4WD is the first vehicle you start off with every time you load a level in free roam.
    • Interestingly, many fans now thought the "D" in the name stood for "Duty" since "MD" in MD-Series could likely be "Medium Duty".
      • By the way, there was also however, a Dodge D-Series, a real-world truck model produced from 1961 to 1993. However, the same name Gavril barely bears resemblance to the Dodge at all, as a Dodge parody would most likely fit far better as an official possible modern Bruckell pickup if it ever happens.
    • The three front fascias resemble the following real-world trucks:
      • 1986—1991 Early: 1980—1986 7th gen Ford F-Series.
      • 1992—1997 Intermediate: 1988—2000 4th gen Chevrolet C/K (GMT400) or even 1987—1990 1st gen Dodge Dakota; though the Intermediate's front is more closer to a Jeep Wagoneer (XJ), and the Dakota has an extra vertical bar in the center of grille, also known as the iconic "crosshair".
        • Both the Early and Intermediate interiors resemble the 1987—1991 8th gen Ford F-Series.
        • The default intermediate V8 4WD's wheels resemble the 1st gen Dakota as well.
      • 1998—2003 Late: 1997—2004 10th gen Ford F-Series or also 1999—2007 2nd gen GMC Sierra (GMT800).
        • The interior resembles the higher-end GMT900 trucks/SUVs.
        • The D15 RoadSport parallels more of the SVT Lightning.
        • Despite the D-Series lasting for 17 years, the cabin shape (resembling that of GMT400 trucks) and even chassis/frame weren't changed at all.
        • The model years for all the three fascias are now more based on the Ford F-Series timeline (with the 1992 D-Series being the only exception as opposed to the F-Series beginning year of its ninth generation. However, to differentiate with the 1987 F-Series, it begins in 1986. And with the 1998 D-Series, the F-Series similar to that said D-Series style begins in 1997 (F-150 only; with Super Duty models beginning in 1999).
        • The last two facelifts' model years were formerly incorrectly referred to as 1988-1999 and 2000-2003 on the Internet Game Cars Database (IGCD) but was later fixed to 1992-1997 and 1998-2003, matching the actual in-game model years. Also, the pre-facelift's model years were changed from 1985-1987 (which actually was true when released, paralleling the final GM "square-body look" years) to 1986-1991 (as if the eighth generation F-Series dated one more year back) as well.
          • ACTUALLY I FIXED IT LOL!
      • Most other wheels are even based on real-world 1990s and 2000s Ford/GM designs.
    • In early development screenshots, the D-Series was shown to have seats matching the color of the interior.[12] However, until 0.21, the D-Series' seats were always black regardless of interior color.
    • The D15 Custom Classic is designed to resemble "earlier generations of the D-Series". Although it is based on the 1992-1997 model years, it may suggest it is supposed to resemble the 1986-1991 generation. And the plural term "generations" in its description may also suggest that the D-Series may date further back than 1986 (officially).
      • In addition, part of the D35 Beast's description "shortening a crew-cab frame to accept a short bed, a configuration not offered from the factory by most truck manufacturers of the period" interestingly confirms real evidence that a Bruckell (not counting the pre-war Nine), Ibishu, Hirochi, etc. pickup exists in the universe, and "most" implies that some crew cab short beds were indeed factory at the time (though the first real-world crew cab short bed of the time was actually the 1996 Ford F-250/F-350).
    • The D-Series shares its gasoline V8 engines with Gavril's own Grand Marshal, H-Series, and Roamer, and as well as its I6 and Diesel V8 engines with the Roamer and H-Series only.
      • Although being manufactured by Ibishu and Civetta, the Hopper and Scintilla respectively share some of these engines via aftermarket engine swaps. The SP Rockbasher uses the 4.5L and 6.9L in vanilla, although it is a hand-built race oriented vehicle. This gives evidence that the 5.5L is the "Chevy 350" of the BeamNG universe, but the 6.0L is unknown.
      • The 4.5L V8 is the real workhorse of the five engines and the 5.5L V8 is more of a bored-out version of the 4.5L than a stroked-out one, as it has thinner bore spacing between its cylinders than the 4.5L.
    • There was also a 6.0L diesel V8 by Ford (Power Stroke). However, unlike the Power Stroke the Gavril version 6.0L is far less likely to receive issues and came way before (1986) compared to same liter Power Stroke's 2003. Also, the HP ratings are completely different. It is unlikely that the Gavril version would be based on the Power Stroke.
      • In addition, despite being a diesel, it is unknown why is the 6.0L (still) not part of the Belasco-Diesel line like the 10.4L I6, 14.7L I6, or 18.0L V8.
      • Sadly, there is no true diesel tachometer with a lower value and correct 3500 redline, making the 6.0L an outdated option.
    • The D-Series has the most configs out of any other vehicle in-game, currently having a total of over 73. It is also the most customizable vanilla vehicle as well.
    • The D-Series was the first vehicle in-game with multiple body style options, having regular and extended cabs, and later a crew cab, 2-door and 4-door SUV body.
    • Unlike the D15, no actual half-ton full-size pickup in the 1980s, 1990s, or even 2000 had a crew cab configuration, except as aftermarket builds; only the heavy-duty models did from the factory. Although it is fairly possible that the pre-facelift D15 Crew Cab configs could've been Kentarch conversions as opposed to factory offerings. The first full-size half-ton crew cab was the 2001 Ford F-150 SuperCrew on XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Harley-Davidson Edition trims.
    • Kentarch is partly based on and a stand-in of Centurion Vehicles Inc. It is known as Kentarch Fabrications.
    • The D10 Charro parallels the Ford Bronco. Coincidentally, the V8 4WD config's dark blue and tan colors exactly mimic this 1986 Eddie Bauer from a Wikipedia photo.
      • It is unknown why is there a secret D20 model, as the lettering actually only exists in the customization screen, but currently there are no official D20 configs.
    • The D30 parallels the Chevrolet/GMC Suburban 2500, despite there being no D20 or Suburban 3500.
    • The D45 actually parallels the Ford F-Super Duty line (1988—1997). Makes sense why there's no official D55 (as of now). Because it was not until only 1999 that Ford would debut a true F-450 and F-550 model.
    • The D10 and D15 423 Sport resembles several sport trucks/SUVs:
      • The 1990-1993 Chevrolet 454SS was a 1/2-ton pickup truck powered by a 7.4L V8 (hence 454cui in the name) with IFS, black paint and bed-side decals, just like the D15 423 Sport. The D10 version could be more based on the GMC Yukon GT. Though the default D15 423 Sport primary color is actually red.
      • In addition, the 454SS did not even offer red until only 1993, with 277 units produced.
      • The D10 and D15 423 Sport may also be inspired by the GMC Typhoon and GMC Syclone respectively. The latter was the fastest pickup truck for 30 years until 2021's RAM 1500 TRX; however the Syclone and Typhoon both used a turbocharged V6 and AWD. But there are similarities, like the front air dam with integrated fog lights. Both the Syclone and Typhoon were painted black with red decals (like the D10 423 Sport).
    • The Zeta configuration is likely a reference to Gavril's own Zeta, specifically the Zeta X model that was created by Gabester for Rigs of Rods, as both are blue, two-door, and high-performance offroad SUVs.
    • A fictional monster truck model with an American flag livery from Family Guy bears clearly bears resemblance to the default intermediate D-Series (especially the front fascia; though thus missing the horizontal grille bar, the grille could resemble more of the early 1986-1991 then, but mismatched or "Frankensteined" with the 1992-1997 intermediate headlights). That however, cannot be done to the real D-Series in-game.[1][2]
    • The Drift configuration was probably intended as a "modern" take on "Tokyo Mater", a modified version based on the rusty tow truck character from Cars.
    • The D25 Lifted design and its default paint scheme closely mimics Colt Seavers' truck, a 1982 GMC K-2500 Wideside from The Fall Guy.
    • Despite the D35 "Beast" being a pickup with a bed cap, it is clearly a direct nod to the 1987 Chevrolet Suburban used in the 1997 film Dante's Peak.
    • The L-TRV Marauder likely takes inspiration from the Chevrolet CUCV M1009, based on the K5 Blazer. Also, L-TRV may stand for "Light Tactical Reconnaissance Vehicle", though this is officially unconfirmed.
    • The Track configuration's paint job is based on this Dodge Ram SRT-10 also from a Wikipedia photo.
    • Some oddities with the configurations, that might be mistakes. Most of them are typos and wrong config parts (though they are easy to fix manually).
      • Although there is a "3/4-ton" D25 dually, in real-world dually trucks begin on the Class 3 level.
      • Not all 1992-1997 models actually use the intermediate default front fascia.
      • No D25 6.0L Diesel V8 option, despite that most real-world 1986-2003 3/4-ton trucks have diesel options (though Dodge did not debut the Cummins until 1989 1st gen Ram).

      • Side-by-side comparison of Short Frame vs Standard Frame.

The "Short Frame" is misleading since it doesn't look like a true "slightly shorter" wheelbase compared to a real-world Bronco or Blazer, as when you compare them side-by-side to a Standard Frame pickup, their lengths are exactly the same.
        • The Extended Short Frame isn't even the same length as the Long Bed Frame either compared to a Suburban, Yukon XL or Excursion for example. Real-world extended length SUVs are supposed to have a single cab long bed frame length.
      • The D15 Drag have mismatched wheels, with 15x8 Powr-Push at the front and 15x14 Dragger at the rear, even though 15x8 Draggers are actually available as a vanilla part in-game.
      • The D10 Charro 423 Sport description is "Short Wheelbase SUV variant of the 423 Sport", with a capital in the letter "W".
      • The D15 Crawler Crew Cab specs mention it is naturally-aspirated and a gasoline engine in the Fuel Type and Induction section, but it is actually the turbo-diesel option.
      • Both D15 Pre-Runner models have incorrect model years. The Regular Cab has a late front fascia + late dashboard and therefore should be a 1998 model, not a 1992. The Extended Cab variant has early fascia but is listed as a 1992 model.
      • The D15 Rock Racer has an intermediate front fascia, and is also listed as a 1992 model, which is right, but it actually has the late dashboard.
      • The 1998-2003 D25 Fleet Long Bed is the only factory V8 model missing "V8" in its name, even though it is one.
        • Also, the same model does not have ABS, but rather ESC. All 1998-2003 models have ABS.
      • The "D35 4WD Long Bed V8" should be named "D35 V8 4WD Long Bed" and not the former, to be coherent with every other V8 model.
      • The late D35 V8 Crew Cab Dually has a 4-speed automatic transmission, but the cheaper lower trim late D35 Fleet even has a 6-speed.
      • The early D35 Chief Rancher does not have ABS, despite that it is supposed to be the top-of-the-line, and some 1986-1991 models do have ABS.
      • The D35 Diesel V8 Extended Cab is the only factory config with mismatched tires, having 245/75R16 for the front and 265/75R16 for the rear. All other D35 Dually models have three pairs of 245/75R16, while single rear-wheel D35s have two pairs of 265/75R16.
      • The 1998-2003 D15 V8 Crew Cab has the "Late Right Mirror" on the right door yet is mismatched by having the 1992-1997 "Left Mirror" on the left door.
    • The D-Series sort of "fakes" a mid-2000s or 2010s truck by the following:
      • Even when released or now and in the early and intermediate versions, somehow surprisingly the extended cab configurations were given power rear windows as opposed to fixed (which is not even an option in-game), not aligning with actual truck models of the time. The similar Declasse Yosemite 1500 from GTA V (another GM-inspired truck from an also-moddable action game) has a similar distinction as well. Speaking of the former, there's not even a two-door or three-door version of the extended cab either.
        • Coincidentally, both BeamNG and GTA V were released in 2013 overall.
      • Strangely, the D25 and D35 appear to wear black plastic GM-style "elephant-ear" dual-arm tow mirrors from 2006. Likely because they are a common swap in real-world pre-2006 GM trucks/SUVs.
      • The 4.5L and 5.5L have really high redlines for an OHV configuration in their eras. Early/Standard ECU 5600 rpm, Late ECU 5800.
        • Their performances are comparable to for example, a 3rd gen Ram 1500 with the Hemi (especially with the Late parts), even if the 0-60 times are off whether slightly or not.
      • All models, even the 1986-1991 generation, have 120 mph (200 km/h) speedos. Most real-world trucks from 1986-2003 had 85 and later 100 mph speedos.
      • Currently, both monotone and two-tone tailgates with manufacturer scripts are not officially a vanilla feature in-game as of now. As without them gives them more of a late 1990s and/or onwards vibe.
      • "4WD" badges were never seen on any of the "Big Three" manufacturers, let alone in the 1980s-2000s. Only 1st gen Toyota Tundra models had this feature in the truck world.
      • As said on top, the late interior (1998-03) resembles the higher-end GMT900 trucks/SUVs.
      • There is a black interior option. Real world 1986-2003 trucks mostly had gray.

The short frame is 30cm shorter than the regular frame - that's on par with the '80-'96 Ford Bronco (which was about 30cm shorter than the equivalent F-Series). That sort of difference wouldn't show up at the angle you show, and it's hard to tell side-by-side, but it is there.
    screenshot_2025-12-27_12-19-55.png

Also, the extended short frame isn't meant to be a Suburban or Excursion - it's meant to be similar to the Centurion Broncos, which used F-Series crew-cab front ends and Bronco rear ends.

Back on topic: I never thought the SUV configs were supposed to be a Suburban-type vehicle. I just thought they were "truck, but seats."

Compared to many SWB/LWB versions of various vehicles, 30cm is a substantial cut in wheelbase/length. Some examples include:

    -Fourth-gen Dodge Caravan: 2.88m/3.03m
    -Second/third-gen VW Tiguan: 2.68m/2.79m
    -Ferrari 250: 2.4m/2.6m
    -Second-gen Genesis G90: 3.18m/3.37m
    -Fourteenth-gen Toyota Crown: 2.85m/2.93m

30cm is also roughly the same difference in wheelbase that the second-gen K5 Blazer and '80-'96 Broncos had compared to their standard-cab/bed pickup counterparts:

    -Blazer: 2.705m; Third-gen C/K: 2.984m
    -Bronco: 2.642m to 2.66m; Seventh-ninth-gen F-Series: 2.967-2.972m

To be fair, the third-gen Bronco were about 40cm shorter than the seventh-gen F-Series (4.58m vs. 5m), but the eighth- and ninth-gen F-Series were 35cm longer than their Bronco counterparts (4.58m vs. 4.93m; 4.66m vs. 5m). The K5 Blazer also had a much smaller difference in length compared to the standard-cab/bed C/K - the former was 4.69m, while the latter was 4.86m.

That is essentially what they were meant to be IRL, too. I do hope that we get more from Kentarch in the future - they could be a really fascinating brand to expand upon.
