It's far too stiff. I understand the frame being strong enough to withstand hard impacts but the body should at least deform at low speed impacts. It's just fiberglass or sheet steel with a weak steel lattice underneath to keep the shape. Also for some reason the front bumper and the rocker panel seem to be connected in the jbeam making deformations in the front very weird.
The late model seems a bid weird at first because there isnt anything like it in the game. If you look at videos of real life late model stock cars crashing then you see its actualy quite acurate
Originaly i was aiming for christmass but im pretty sure thats not going to happen wuth how busy i have been Lets say end of january/febuary of next year
front suspension is finally done added airbox for the air filter added some more guff for the engine bay added a few more hoses on the floor. one is for fuel, the other has to do with cooling. fuel line leads back to the fuel pump and fuel cell thats all for now. the model is very close to being done now. the plan is to start working on the jbeam files by the end of the week. although i do have exams next week so probably wont get much done until the week after
I want to make sure its completely finished and i havent missed anything before i start jbeaming. If anyone has any sugestions for things i should add or things you think i have forgotten to include please let me know so i can add them in
see if there is any thing that you may want to have different parts for like wheels and tires, the engine, and suspension. you should make extra options for these
I'm sure this has been addressed earlier in the thread, but the above comment is making me curious. Will there be any option parts, or just one set up? If so, will it only be things that are realistic, such as the old style/new style front bumper, or some unrealistic stuff too just for fun?
Can't believe how much detail you're putting into this. As @Arctic Titan said, it will be THE "mod of the year"
Yeah he is adding on a version that has a diffrent bumper resembling the ones from the 90's and i remember reading about some other things so I am pretty sure there are some other things in mind. Maybe not an extensive amount but enough for this. Just don't quote me on that.
second mod: Sunburst Nexel/Sprint cup series Nascar (resembling the Toyota Camry Nascar, the D series is enough however I feel that will a few tweaks to the shape the Sunburst would look awesome as a Nascar, anyone can steal my idea I just wanted to get my idea out there as I can't 3D model anything, if I could I would 3D model a 1990 Mazda Miata with all the mods I want to put on my real Miata just to see how it is going to turn out)
If i was to do that i would probably release it as a second mod but i would only have to make some minor changes to the chassis in order for the sunburst body to fit --- Post updated --- At the moment we have to engines, one restricted and one unrestricted. Both are acurate to real life. The ristricked ones are used on high speed circuits to prevent the cars from going dangerously to fast. Currently we have 2 front bumpers one from the 90's and one from the 10's. Im considering making a third
