I don't know how I feel about 10 posts before creating new threads. Some people probably don't talk too much, and would just shitpost so they could make more threads. I'd only be able to have mad 20 threads with my post count. Captchas on signup may help, but I think captchas before creating a thread would be better. It's a small inconvenience, and could only be applied to users without a tester badge.

Also, this spam bot has gotten quite far. Nearly 5 whole pages and it still hasn't been banned.

Edit: and shut down, after 5 whole pages of spam. New record!

 

I think you misunderstood me here. Not allowing the creation of 1 thread for every 10 posts, but rather requiring a postcount of at least 10 before being allowed the privilege to create threads.

 

I think you're right. Though to be fair, you did word it in a way that implied that users would need 10 posts to be able to create a new thread each and every time.

@Zappymouse @crazikyle I actually second the idea of somehow prevent people from spamming threads, however, with a minimum of 10 posts before starting a thread, if someone new to BNG has a problem with the game or asks a question, it'd be stupid for him to have to post 10 times before (I hope this is somehow grammatically correct...)
