Go have your fun. Your work is awesome. You have a nice talent. I'm hoping to learn blender and be able toprod uce my own models some time.
Still on hold. Sorry, GTA V has consumed the rest of my time off work. Also had the small matter of fitting a nice shiny new GTX770 to my system. Work will resume next week.
Ford is trying to unify it's product line. The 2013 Ford Fusion is the same as the International Ford Mondeo. Mondeo Fusion See, identical mate. The only thing the rest of the world gets that us in North America don't, are the Hatchback and Station Wagon variants.
I think there are only the regular and station wagon/estate variants. Googling for the hatchback variant just brings be back to the regular variant. A hatchback mondeo is essentially just a focus anyway.
More Off-Topic: There is a Hatchback Variant, not nearly as nice looking as the Sedan. On-Topic: Good work, coming along nicely. It'll be a great addition to BeamNG when finished!
I've heard them be called either hatchbacks or saloons (sedan is usually referred to as a saloon too though). I've done a bit of work tidying up a few edges, but got nothing worth showing. I'm going to start doing the wheels before the end of this week - but still looking for tips on how to do them.
I'm working on it (rough edges still) but not getting much time at the minute due to being quite busy at work the last thing I want to stare at is a PC screen! We've had this argument on page 2 already!
Very good work here. For never modeling before, this is good. This is one of my most Favorited Ford sedans they make. I can't wait to see this in drive! Keep it up here mate.
I've definitely been slacking with this. Apart from tidying parts up there's been no progress at all. So I want to propose something. If somebody wants to finish this and get it in game I'm happy to give them the Blender files in order to do it. The only conditions I have is that I get the blender files back when it's done and when it's released, I get at least some credit for getting this far. I think I'll learn a lot more that way, especially for interior modelling. What needs doing? Subframe tidying up - maybe even rebuilt. Wheels (not started them) Suspension components Engine (I have a basic engine modelled, needs details) Interior - I've done a very, very low-poly attempt that hasn't gone well. Lights - basic shapes done, but they're awful! Other stuff I've probably forgotten. Basically what you get is a complete outer body - rear bumper could do with some work as there's a missing seam on it, but other than that it's complete. The reason I started this was to get a modern car into BeamNG. I still want to get it into BeamNG, but feel I don't currently have the time or the motivation to do it. If someone from this community can step up and finish this for me it'd be much appreciated. My intention all along was to have this as an "open source" car. So people could improve it or rebuild it as they see fit after I'd finished it - unfortunately I haven't got as far as finishing it. I'd love to have the time to, but unfortunately I don't. If you're interested in finishing this, then send me a PM.
I am useless at modelling and have no JBeam experience so I am of course not taking you up on the offer. But your offer to me looks entirely reasonable
If your intention was to open source it all along, perhaps go and pick one of the various open source licenses, stick it onto your files properly and release it as it stands right now?
Oh shit why don't u ask some of the developers or people like drowsy Sam is they want it. ?? Or nadeox1 they'll do a pretty good job with it
I might do that - but you know what the internet is like, it usually turns into a pointless exercise! moosedicks has it nailed.
