Good choise, first meet this car in NFS2, and meet there love of all my life Jaguar XJ220 (imported from here)
Definitely one of my favorites as a kid, but then so was the GT90. They both have the same 'over the top 90's futuristic look', all of our cars should look like this by now! Also worth mentioning: Saleen S7 Handy-cap parking spot, ftw. Mclaren F1
I really like the Mclaren F1, if i finish this car I might be making the F1 then. Also worth mentioning, the GT90 uses the chassis of the Jaguar XJ220
I would love to see a Mclaren in the game! Hopefully they used spare parts and did not destroy an actual Mclaren F1
XJ220 not mclaren. And yeah that was a real 1992 ford transit with an XJ220 rear end fitted to it. The company that sub contracted the engine design didnt have a full XJ220 chassis available (jaguar hadnt built the damn thing ), they did however have a ford transit sitting in the car park which for legal reasons couldnt be road registered (it was a pre production prototype so not allowed to be sold to public), bastardise the 2 together and you get the transit supervan.
I just finished the exhaust and those hole thingies in the back, and i did some tweaking to the shape of the car.
thanks! that video is the only way how i can model the interior, as there is only one picture from the interior which i could find on google.
It´s getting better and better but get rid off those n-gons, means faces that have more than four vertices. You seem to have "un-welted" vertices that cause those smoothing problems. Try this as a first aid kit: In edit mode hit A(to select everything) then W and select "remove doubles" from the menu.
I own a book called concept cars and this is my n°1 favorite! (with n°2 being the Cala from Ital Designs and Lamborghini.) Godspeed! can't wait to see the result!
I have made almost no progress the last couple of weeks, but i started on the chassis recently. Here's my progress so far: And i was wondering if anyone knows what is causing that weird line in the second picture, please let me know
Maybe you havesome double vertices. Try selecting the all vertices in edit mode, press "W" and select "remove doubles". If this doesn't help I would suggest modeling this small area again.
I have made zero progress on this project during the last couple of months, mainly because I was working. Now I bought myself some fancy new computer parts and feel kind of motivated to continue working on this project. I just wanted to let you guys know.
