Newer than September 1981 Mk1s also had those bumpers. They are almost identical, the biggest difference is that the Mk1 bumpers don't have red lights. I've already made those bumpers
I did the same photography technique for my Corolla Sprinter references. I also wanted an overhead shot, so I parked on the shoulder underneath the tallest pedestrian overpass I could find and walked up
why he's making a quite literally photorealistic and scratch made version of a car that was never awd, so why completely redesign the gearbox, underside of the body and rear suspension just so it has awd?
But it's meant to be realistically accurate to the real Fiesta Mk.1, it doesn't need out-of-wack configurations that don't fit well with the subject. Installing a whole new powertrain system which was never there on the car to begin with seems to be just more excessive work for the creator to do.
Also, it wouldn't be just an extra config with a few lines of code tacked on. I don't mean to assume, but BeamDrifter seems like the kind of person who takes pride in their work; he'd have to model and jbeam a bunch of extra parts to make an unrealistic extra version.
Not sure if it has been asked, but will we get a rebranded version for the repository with a fictional brand and model? I'd love it if we did! Also what you have so far looks awesome, keep up the good work!
Great mod. Looks great and the crashes are very realistic looking. How long did it take you to make and did you get a good grade
Why would he waste time making a completely unrealistic drivetrain configuration that goes completely against the realistic theme he's sticking with? Remodelling the body, gearbox and rear axle for such a minor thing is not worth it considering how much it'd ruin the driving experience.
I haven't made much progress recently because I've been removing a lot of rust from the real Fiesta. I also fixed a huge dent in the front right fender. But here are a few things I've made/changed. Engine bay looks much better New grille model and textures Fuel tank and exhaust textures Chrome window trim and door handles I have no plans making the Fiesta AWD. It would require so much changes it wouldn't be worth it. Completely new rear axle model, textures and jbeam. New gearbox Rear driveshaft Fuel tank needs to be moved somewhere else, it wouldn't fit with the new driveshaft (OR cutting it in half would make the driveshaft fit but then it would be a ridiculously small 17 liter tank) Exhaust needs to be moved somewhere else, it would collide with the driveshaft and the new rear axle Front body needs to be redone, just where do you see a place for the rear driveshaft? I can't make make every imaginable thing for this car even if I wanted to. Modding takes a lot of time and I get no money from it (in other words, there's better ways to spend time). I'm not going to make a steam powered 4.5 cylinder 2-rotor 5-stroke triple overhead crankshaft engine rear view mirror either. I'll try to make at least some of the limited edition variants listed on the projectbobcat.com site. Thanks, that would be awesome! I've been making this since November 2018 and no one still knows when it is going to be finished. I got the best possible grade at school .
Can you upload the pictures directly to the forums? For some reason pictures from imgur won't show up and it's frustrating. It seems it's going well even if I can't see any pictures
