Re: Gavril X250 Uber Duty I thoroughly enjoy this truck! Hope to see it progress further. And? Comments like that don't help the game-supporting community in any way. Who wants to bother releasing anything if they're going to be accused of "theft"? Let alone how idiots go about ragging on mods like 10 year olds. Maybe you do have a point, he is a dev/admin, perhaps he should handle these accusations in private with the parties involved. "Wow...I'm surprised to see this kind of message coming from an admin..." Me too.
Textures are, for me, a headache and nightmare, all rolled into a single aspect of modeling. I used shading and material techniques to skirt around it, e.g. 3d mesh text instead of png textures, as of now. I've asked multiple times for someone to help me texture, but I've not had much progress that way. So, no. I can't really add textures; however, I may go back and take materials mapping a notch up.
Re: Gavril X250 Uber Duty You do realize gabester is the Vehicle Artist for BeamNG, so you just called one of the developers a 'dickhead'. Well, I think we've just established who the real dickhead is here. Anyway back on topic, loving this ute.
It is a wonderful offroad truck, I drove it on the DirtJam map and it held up better than the other offroad trucks I have.
Can I post a race mod? I made a faster engine and better wheels and wanted to know if I could post them as a mod for your truck
I downloaded this mod. There is some very incredible mods out there for BeamNG already. However, this is not up there. I will be the guy who tells it how it is. Yes, it is an amazing start, and yes, it has major potential to become something amazing. However, at this stage it needs a lot of work. The tail light's don't work when I brake. The textures are cheap, there is no wheel texture, no headlight texture. You know what I mean? The beams on this truck are cool, as the crashes are really realistic. However, I cannot enjoy this truck in this state because I feel like it is lacking the basic things that most BeamNG vehicles have right now. Again, great start, and great potential. I hope to see something awesome out of this truck!
I advise you check out some of the other mods by Ky. He's actually a pretty skilled modder and modeler. This isn't a great example of his work. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe he stopped working on this project to work on his Lotus Carlton, which is a much better mod. This was (if I recall) his first mod. It wasn't great, mostly because the textures lacked detail. His other mods are much better.
Yeah, wow, I did not realize that the Audi Quattro was a work of his. Thank's for the advice, sometimes I don't even think to check other posts. On the flip side, however, I see the potential for this truck. It would make a really cool model when complete for sure! I understand he has already made some progress, as much as possible with his family's loss that is. I enjoy watching the truck as it gets cooler.
i don't think he made the quattro, he made the Mitsubishi Pajero 1993 1990 Lotus Carlton Twin Turbo Kerr
