@Hotrod55 - it's neat that you got brakes etc hooked up.. but I don't think that's typical for these devices is it? I thought that 5th wheel dollies were really just for moving trailers around the yard, etc. Would you be interested in doing a couple of configs where brakes don't work? I'd be happy to give you a hand.
The problem isn't specifically the brakes on the dolly, it's also the brakes on the trailer. The first coupler forwards the pickup's brake input to the dolly brakes... the second coupler forwards the dolly brakes to the dry van trailer! A pickup truck without an air-brake system installed couldn't control the brakes on the dry van trailer. I suppose that you could remove the brakes from both things, but it would be better just to have a dolly which didn't forward brakes. This could all be setup cleanly through the parts system.
why cant trailers have ELECTRIC brakes problem solved https://www.etrailer.com/question-52273.html simple lets just say the beamng trailers have electric over hydrolic brakes
I'm no expert, but I can tell you for certain that semi trailers don't have "electric brakes"... a semi trailer would push a pickup truck around. That should be part of the fun.
brakes or no brakes it still pushes cars around electric fifth wheel trailers do exist just not the norm
I have a problem. The drawbar is extremley weak. If i use it to pull a fully loaded trailer it gets totally mangled when i turn... Anyone have a solution to this?
I would really Like it if you could get this mod to work again, the problem I have is that nothing is able to pull it, as if the wheels lock up, I have removed the brakes and still can't pull, even with the T-Series, Please get this mod to work again
I doubt the author is still working on this nor wants to make a 2 axle version, AR162B's T-Series mod has that, although the mod is a bit broken. also you just bumped a thread with the last message being sent nearly 3 years ago now...
