I was going to ask this too actually, I was wanting to make a Roblox remake of the game and the raw map would've been a huge asset rather than having to build from scratch with no actual references --- Post updated --- Could you please release the raw map model itself so it can be used for other projects as well as outside of BeamNG? I've found no record of the map being available anywhere else.
Sorry for being like 3 years late but it seems I fixed it. Now when you drift there is smoke particles instead of water particles and it feels like driving on dry asphalt. As weird as it seems, you just have to change a single file: go to your mods folder, select fairhaven.zip (use 7-Zip software since it saves a lot of time from unzipping and zipping the zip file), go to "mods\fairhaven.zip\levels\fairhaven\groundmodels\groundmodels.json", open it and replace all the code with this: { "NOT_SO_WET_ASPHALT": { "staticFrictionCoefficient" : 1.15, "slidingFrictionCoefficient" : 0.95, "hydrodynamicFriction" : 0, "stribeckVelocity" : 4.6, "strength" : 1, "roughnessCoefficient" : 0, "defaultDepth" : 0, "collisiontype" : "ASPHALT", "skidMarks" : true } } I have no clue how I managed to pull this one out so I really won't be able to help anyone who couldn't do it lol
I have a question, why whenever I'm in the tunnels my FPS tanks and stutters so much, every second or so, with the lighting shifting (different tone) each time? It has become incredibly annoying and the issue disappears outside. I have a decently powerful system (ryzen 5 5600, rtx 3060 ti, and 32gb ddr4 3200) and even when turning graphics dowe\n to the lowest the issue still persists. When using MSI afterburner I find that I am consistently CPU bottlenecked in the tunnels, which is really weird and usually doesn't happen. I tried clearing cache and verifying integrity of the files, any issue what's causing this?
Same issue after 0.37 game patch. Stuttering disappears after disabling ai traffic. I guess have to play without traffic, and low chance for this map to get update.
By any chance is it possible to add the Golden Meadows and the cut areas from the PS3 beta builds into this map?
You hardly talk much in this thread, do you? I'm probably guessing that you've been going through other priorities outside of this or the NFSHP10 map.
I work on mods in my free time, so I work on what I have motivation for. When there will be anything to update in this thread, then I will post updates.
