Atleast its credited, so i dont mind. --- Post updated --- Atleast its credited, so i dont mind. --- Post updated --- Wouldve been fun, but it has many mesh issues and etc so i dont feel like it right now. i do have some other stuff going on.
Most SUVs based on car platforms aren't really the pinnacle of off-road tech, they're more of a lifted minivan with AWD.
I get where he is coming from though. If this has All Terrain packages, I feel like it could be a little bit more offroad based. Ive noticed that without any kind of LSD, the ESC is not strong enough to actually transfer power to one or the other wheel on an axle in most situations. With the All Terrain diff, its a little bit better but can still fail to transfer power from one to the other. In for say a Grand Cherokee (using example because thats his pfp) it has a Quadra-Trac system which can fully send power to one axle using the BLD. Some trims also have the Quadra-Drive which has ELD (All Terrain diff) that can send all power to a single rear wheel. Looking at the new BMW X5, it has a similar system to the QD but with a locker instead of the ELD, like what the mod has. Im not sure how much power it can transfer, but after looking at some videos of it, it looks pretty similar to the Jeep. When not locked, I assume it would be basically an OD system, which it can still keep moving, where with ODs on the 1300 it would sit and spin. I also think it needs some changes with the bumpers. Yes, I know they are buggy atm, with only an AT front and both rears being basically the same, but they feel too low for being an All Terrain bumper. I know you cant really remove the fascias on the X5, but on, say the Jeep in his PFP, you can take off the plastic fascias on the front and rear for more clearance. If even just the rear bumper on the 1300 could have the diffuser removed, it would help lots, as I have ripped it off alot because of it. The AT front bumper could also change a bit IMO. Since he isnt going for a full replica of the BMW, maybe he could somehow raise up the bumper infront of the wheels around where the foglights are for more clearance? Or have a removable fascia in the front? Idk, thats just my 2¢
After the 4th 0.17 hotfix the rear taillights are staying on again. Is this happening for anyone else?
Haven't been able to do much work this weekend, so it'll be for next week and I'll take a look at the issues posted. Maybe something in the new update broke something, been thinking about a police version too so stay put for that!
Great mod, something I have wanted in BeamNG for a while, but there's a bug with the label (it has 856 instead of 1300 on the hatch) and the taillights are stuck on
For some reason on this vehicle, the brakes seem to be quite weak, I'm on pedals, and 95% (due to them being buffered as they are G920 pedals) it doesn't slow in the way I expect it too, even with TC and ABS and ESC off, it still doesn't slow down like the other vehicles do, even matching it with the official ETK vehicles, it doesn't seem as responsive.
Braking efficiency is the highest at the point where the wheels just start to slip, so its just down to physics, besides the 1300 is heavy car making braking harder
the brakes are adequite, the car weights rouglhy 2tonnes so its a brick to stop.. hence why its slow to get stopped.
The problem is the ESC has bugs. It only brakes the wheel when it detects loss of control is imminent. If loss of traction (but not loss of control) the ESC only reduce throttle. Interestingly, 0.14.0.5 is downloadable via steam, the ESC is working correctly there (but not support the ETK1300 mod).
