When I drive a vehicle in BeamNG, especially the bus, I've noticed that when I am driving in the cockpit (or any camera view facing away from the engine), the engine sounds are so quiet, I cannot hear them. When I drive a car in the cockpit view it sounds normal because they are mostly front-engined. However, with the bus's engine being at the back, the experience of driving is ruined. I am forced to either face backwards not seeing where I am going or go into third person to hear the engine sounds. But I want to drive in first person and hear the engine in a bus! This was not the case a while ago though, I could hear the engine very well, so maybe it was changed in an update? But especially on a bus, the sound would not be that quiet because it would echo inside the bus. I have looked through the sound settings yet I could not find anything that fixed the issue. May I request that this be changed? It really ruins the driving experience for me and I find it much easier and more fun to drive in first person. I like to hear the engine roar!
the developers are apparently working on revamping the sound folter for inside the cabin, i'd imagine they might add some extra sounds to the bus as well.
Not actively working on it, but it's on a rather large list of things to do. We need some specific code tech before we can do this.
