Not sure about rockfaces, but I'll go ahead and keep it open. I was thinking of it being completely clear, only big plants, like the previous section. Also, I'm starting to get...annoyed? Better word, but annoyed about the normal Decalroad. The big digouts from the tracks don't feel right to me, and I'm not sure what other texture to use, as I feel like there's a better one (Like the decal I used for the open part. Much cleaner, yet it's a harsh transition to dirt...
It would be really cool if there was an area of the map kind of like the DirtFish freeroam map in Dirt 4 That video shows the map, its pretty much just a spot to practice everything!
I would love to do that, but probably recreating that from scratch (If I don't get another idea, and that would be pretty difficult I imagine. I could do my own testing, as I have DiRT4 aswell Yet, I'm already slightly running out of space for a place like that. I was imagining only a rally stage. It would be pretty cool to be able to do that. Also because of all the models I'd need to make, might not happen. EDIT: I was about to ask how I got 8 notifs in 4 minutes @Sithhy™ XD
You could always ask if someone would like to help with creating models, and you could just make an extra part that sticks off of the side of the map XD I'd be happy to help create some props, but I don't know how to texture them, and im not great at it.
Totally redid the corner before the first water crossing. I always hated it since continuing after it. Added some turn signs where there's a blocked off intersection. Seems like I'm almost finished, or atleast got the jist of the pond section. Had to redo the bridge textures, because....ahem... Autumn came early, but it was fixed... Probably gonna start continuing on with the route, haven't done that in a bit surprisingly.
Hahaha Autmn WAS quite pretty though! You managed to make the road match perfectly with the colour of the leaves Such a great feeling fixing something like a corner that'd bothered you from the start! I even made a video about it haha.
I like the way you put turn signs in the trees, looks half-fun, half-nice ^w^ And the muddy pit just behind the turn looks like a baaad trap to fall into ^w^'
Right than...took atleast 8 hours to finish this, not even with me paying attention 24/7. These screenshots should be in order. I'm actually surprised this is going so quick. I started January, nearly done in 3 months... Although, how do I add, let's say Haybales to a map? Do I just place them there than save the level?
Tiny trappy rocks eeeeeverywhere >:3 To be serious, it looks great but some tiny details a bit of everywhere should be a nice time investissement for the realism of your map :3 Looking forward to try it since it's not autumaterian anymore
You can do that, spawn them in like normal then save them with the world editor. Only problem is that they usually don't keep rotation info, so they'll spawn in their default position.
I’ll work on details soon enough. Aah. Is there any way to force a position? I could be wrong as it’s rare to see a Monster truck map with cars facing sideways to you, always parallel.
Its possible in scenarios. I don't know how MT maps do it, I've never really tried using props in that way. It might be possible now, but I know it at least used to be the case that you couldn't. Feel free to try, not like it's gonna break the map if it doesn't work lol
Inb4 it turns autumn again I’ll go ahead and try. Might as well update here if 4 hay bales I place down don’t stay in place. --- Post updated --- Talking about scenarios, I may look into those for an update. Not as interested as I should be for a rally map lol
Aww don't worry, you know what to do now, just be patient and check slowly which file reffers to which other one and you'll be good :3 I still had a few No Material issues, even after my tutos, just time for game and Notepad to re-synchronize (with our help) I guess ahah
Nope, the haybales don't keep their rotation, they stay parallel to the vehicle, or even the spawnpoint if that makes the difference. I did find out that Monster Truck tracks do it because the truck almost always spawns parallel to the vehicles. Just look at the spawn points. This should be a thing that's possible though, Sadler Gorge seems to do it with a vehicles folder...
Huh...I'm actually at pretty much the end section. 3 months and it's nearly done...I'm surprised...I'm going to post some update pics in a bit once I finish the ending net pieces.
Ahah you're maybe stuck in the "almost there!" way to upload your map, always finishing some details like me ^w^
