Having the exact same issue also on my system, same errors.

I did find out that reverting back to the AMD Adrenalin 26.7.1 drivers did fix the issue and game launched just fine. On the version 26.8.1 it does not work.

    Windows 11 Pro 10.0.26200 Build 26200. Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 32GB Ram, RX 9070 XT

For people with AMD GPUs out there, please make sure to update drivers to version 26.9.2

Since the 0.40 update, maps are not loading properly when using D3D12, even in safe mode.

They load fine when I run the game through Vulkan.

Have tried clearing cache and verify integrity. Mods are already disabled due to new game version.

SOLVED! If you have an AMD GPU and you currently have the 26.8.1 driver installed, download and install the latest driver from AMD's website.

BeamNG 0.40 DX12: Invisible map objects with collision on macOS / CrossOver / GPTK 4 Beta 3

Hi BeamNG team, had an ai write this for me because i'm not professional... or technically minded enough to understand this but i can say this is accurate to the problem i'm having and the evidence i gave so please still have a look!

AI: I'm experiencing an issue with DirectX 12 rendering on BeamNG 0.40 when running through CrossOver on macOS.

    System:

    • MacBook Air M4, 16 GB RAM

    • macOS 27 Beta

    • CrossOver 26

    • Apple Game Porting Toolkit 4 Beta 3 (D3DMetal)

    • BeamNG.drive 0.40, DirectX 12
    Issue:

On official BeamNG maps, various objects such as buildings, roads and other environmental assets are completely invisible, despite retaining their collision.

Modded maps that use their own assets appear to render correctly.

DX11 renders the missing objects correctly. DX12 otherwise runs with improved performance and functioning shadows and fog after updating to GPTK 4 Beta 3.

    Troubleshooting performed:

    • Tested Safe Mode with no improvement.

    • Changed graphics settings with no improvement.

    • Confirmed the missing objects still have collision.

    • Confirmed the problem persists with GPTK 4 Beta 3.
    Relevant errors from beamng.log:

    d3d12 call failed during CreateCommandSignature
    draw indexed: 0x80070057
    (GetDeviceRemovedReason=0x00000000)

failed to create draw-indexed command signature,
    hr=0x80070057 (withConstants=1)

bindless material cbv array exhausted (8192 slots),
using raw material loads for overflow blocks
    END OF LOG.

The CreateCommandSignature error repeats extensively throughout the log.

This may indicate an incompatibility involving DX12 indirect drawing commands, GPU-driven rendering or the translation layer. I understand macOS through CrossOver is not an officially supported configuration, but I wanted to share the findings in case they are useful for diagnosing the DX12 renderer.

    Thank you!
