This looks really good! I have to say, your modeling skills really improved a lot since the Countach. The mirrors look a bit funky but the shape is really difficult to model. (I hate mirrors ). Looking forward for this and of course for Zappys quattro(and A4) too On topic... I decided to rework the interior by giving the dash that 90's roundness and rework the overall shape a bit. I also won't be lazy about it and actually put the factory cassete player in there But most importantly I'll redo all of the textures(seats excluded) and set up all switches, knobs and buttons for glowmaps I hope this will go well
Going to be freaking awesome man! Nah man, we can't... That's impossible lol. Well, not impossible, but would make the n/b uselessly complicated and cause more glitchy trouble than it's worth. Anyway... Let me know what you guys think of this thing... About 17k polys for chassis alone(and it's missing most of the left side brakes/control arms). And the steering box still needs to be attached properly. And I still need to figure out the firewall/radiator bit. Oh and the engine. And I haven't added any deformation edge-loops yet So yeah... Luckily BeamNg can cope with high poly models just fine. Anyone know the poly count of the T-series(excluding all the different versions of it of course, just 1 basic version...?) EDIT: oh and I haven't even started on putting the Motorhome upfit onto the frame. Which is basically a second set of steel beams welded directly to the frame. Really stupid but yeah, I guess I should model it :/
At least where i live, we have moving trucks similiar to the t55/t65 would be, the box is fixed to the frame. However, as for the rollback type, as far as i know, its just for dumpsters. i may be wrong though, but these are what i see in my area (west coast usa)
I know that this might sound crazy, but do you think that you could make an off road addition to this RV? For example, 4WD. If you were to take a heavy duty front axle and a transfer case, you would have an epic off road RV.
I hate modelling complex organic shapes. (imported from here) edit: (imported from here) edit 2: Pretty easy to see which of these seats looks the part, haha. The old seat was a dodgy mod of the A4's seat... (imported from here)
4WD Covet Progress Here are some shots of all the work I had to re-do, however this time I tried to keep the mesh changes more clean and linear, less random extrusions and shading is as close as I can get it for now. Mostly EVERYTHING on the original mesh has been changed and modified, as well as other car parts imported and adjusted to fit. I am happy with how the drivetrain turned out. Took me about 13 hours of modelling to get this back to where I wanted it to be (i lost all my previous work ((See last 2 pages of dev screens)) because of a computer error of course). i know, i know, there are some shading issues, I need to tweak certain areas, but altogether the suspension and engine and transmission/axles are all properly placed, no clearance issues and if jbeamed correctly should allow quite a bit of suspension travel. what do you guys think? Above, I need to finish modelling some sort of exhaust piping, the headers are mostly done, mirror modified, just need to fix that one header tube that looks a little wonky... Above is the DOHC V6 I made from the GM V8, shortened and rearranged the intake and exhaust, made it a twin intake (no turbos on this car, because modelling turbos aint easy lol) and made the front timing chain/cam belt cover wider to accommodate the extra cam gears on each side of the V. I shortened the front bumper, dont worry there is still the front and rear reinforcements in place, albeit separate parts, so you can select to drive with or without the reinforcements, gives a bit more approac and depart angles for some serious offroading. Front suspension is totally reworked, see the lower control arms are at a better angle for more travel...the coilovers were lengthened as well as beefed up to allow more heavy duty abuse, halfshafts are mostly in there correctly, tranny is a little strange looking, as there is not much space but i got them all "connected" so use your imagination lol Nothing much changed on the rear except the reinforcement I mentioned, plus I am going to chop off the lower part of the bumper as to allow more depart angle, maybe shorten the park bench look as well (like the front bumper) did not do much with the bumper yet. Also, most likely will not be a rear-exit exhaust as there is simply no room without completely re-doing the floorboards (and there are 2 layers of mesh so it's 2x the work getting everything lined up etc) And my pride and joy, all properly fitted and allows a lot of suspension travel, i MAY redo the end of the driveshaft tunnel because I see now that there may be some clipping of the propshaft and the chassis where the "hump" is. Thats all for now.....1992 Hackjob Covet 4WD V6 DOHC will be coming soon
aww thats adorable lol what else besides the surfbort? Anything changed or just the skin? looks pretty cool, badass lifeguard truck
Hey, that was my idea (using my stepside D15 with that board above the bed on bars) Mind if I still include this stepside D15 Lifeguard in my mod?
That shifter base looks wide, is it supposed to be like that? And also, 7+1 gears? Looks awesome though, and also love the seats
