Yes, you're right :) I think about that. The intake manifold and the air filter nearly matches the shape that I looked for.

Small update as I chip away at this car.

I had previously grossly underestimated the radius of the wheels that were going to be fitted and as such, the wheel arches were way too small. I have now mocked up the wheels, even though it's using radial tires, which have a larger radius in comparison to the default crossply tires that go on the Piccolina.

I have designed all of the openings (minus the fuel flap for now) and started organising the inner bits, like the frunk, interior floor etc, preparing to connect the body to the chassis. Might change the rear fascia a bit, but the early Stambecco lights are here to stay.

I've decided to scrap the idea of making a backbone chassis, as I feel it would've been quite a challenge for an unexperienced modder as myself, provided that I haven't dabbled with anything regarding jbeam. So, for ease' sake, I've started adapting the Piccolina's floorpan to my model. Also, for some reason, this car is now smaller than the Piccolina, both in wheelbase and overall length, which wasn't really my intention. So expect this thing to be tiny. The italians weren't really known for amazing interior ergonomics anyway.

In essence, I'm unintentionally making a lore-friendly and sort of anachronistic Lombardi Grand Prix. Maybe after this will come a MK2 of the 70's with much more angular styling a-la Giorgetto Giugiaro. Next time I'll post, it will probably be about a complete jbeam of this car.

This just looks like a regular 800-series, what is different about it?
