so I need a bit of help, I don't know what i'm doing wrong with the materials folder, the lua shown above doesn't have any errors apart from the materials ones shown here. code for inspection:
Okay, here you go: The material of the turbo is etki_engine: Make sure the material of the turbo is etki_engine and not etki_engine.001 or something like that.MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO UNNECESSARY MESHES IN IT. It will overwrite things otherwise. Give your parts a new name too. Something like *part*_*mod*_*yourname* is always safe. Now export the mesh to barstow/yourmod/ (as a DAE of course). Then make a materials.cs with the used materials (in this case the etki_engine entry). Then make the jbeam and it should work.
also make sure the materials.cs file is in a subfolder, otherwise it could overwrite the barstow's base game one (which from the looks of it did)
sorry blijo but I found a simpler way, I just copyed the code from etki_engine over and it worked first time. But thanks anyway!(the red was from when it wasn't working)
I got really bored, and somehow managed to put the covet front suspension onto the grand marshal. It really wasnt hard at all, now that I know how I guess ill do it with some other cars xd --- Post updated --- UPDATE: I kinda gave up on the covet suspension grand marshal because it wasnt that much of a diffrence anyways, but instead I have now put Beam axle rear suspension into the Ibishu Pessima At first it wiggled around freely, but now it is kinda secured due to me messing around in the jbeam. Might release it if it is ever usable. pros: Legran beam axle on the pessima! cons: Its bad, it is kinda wobbly, it handles odd, and it sits too high off of the ground Gotta say, im learning how "jbeam is done" by doing this.
rear engine sports car on a more serious note, can the engine actually slip out of the strap if jolted hard enough, and will the strap flop down? or is it all one solid object sort of bolted to the bed...
strap will move a littlebit, but I wanted to keep the node count down a bit, so It will just meshbreak if engine gets disconnected from the pallete.
This isn't the best place to ask this but there's a lot of people here so I will go ahead and ask. Would anyone like to help me with the Texturing of a mod me and another person are making?
