This...this honestly has me fascinated...could this mean...more engine tuning? From Diamondback: Notice how there's no turbo/supercharger giving extra power....and the fact that the standard engine is putting out 248 PS, something which would be equivalent to 245 horsepower (a power rating which I've never seen before) is quite interesting.
Where was this video released, and what did it contain? Nevermind. I found it. It appears to contain a short drive in a Rally Sunburst, which sounds like it has a turbo (did it before? I haven't messed around with it much since 0.10 added sounds). He also released this graph, saying that it seemed to be different from before. Anybody recognize where it came from? Could be a VTEC based system like someone one mentioned above. --- Post updated --- Most likely something like MIVEC, since the sunburst is mechanically based off of a mitsubishi lancer.
This is from the Inline 6 found in the ETK800 and the ETK K series. Combined supercharger + turbo setups are already very possible, it has been a thing since 0.8. If you don't believe me that it's the ETK engine, load up the ETK800 and look at the naturally aspirated engine. Same torque/power as in this engine.
I Googled Imaged "nitrous dyno test", and the results seem somewhat similar to Diamondback's graph. Can't say for certain, but that's what my money is on atm.
Its stating combined so im guessing it is twincharging or maybe a twin turbo wich as far as i know are until now missing from the game but for wich car the only cars that would make sense are the new etks and the sbr 4s
If set up properly sequential turbo and twincharging should produce a much smoother curve. Sequential twin turbos would have a smooth ramp up as the large turbo spools, and twincharged systems should have an even smoother curve than that as the blower is declutched at the point that to turbo begins to make enough power to no longer need the blower. The loss of the blower's parasitic drag would account for a small bump, but the goal is to make this effect as minimal as possible. I think nitrous explains the chart much better.
Which in Diamonds graph, it looks like it goes up fifty, so maybe we have Nitrous, but different shots of nitrous? 25, 50, 100, 150, etc
Probably. I don't see why the size of the nitrous shot couldn't be another slider in the tuning menu.
Or even in just the menus to pick from. --- Post updated --- 4.5 V8 __V8 Exhaust __Intake __Nitrous _____50 Shot _____100 Shot _____150 Shot __Transmission
Not trying to hurt LJFHutch's feelings but I was definitely looking forward to the West Coast map much more than Italy. These screenshots coming out though are making me question which map I'll like more. The little details like vegetation growing between the rocks make the Italy map look fantastic.
"I guess my last post wasn't quite obvious enough, even though some users guessed correctly. To properly support the new feature posted above, we overhauled the torque curve app a little. " NITREOUSSSES --- Post updated --- Also how do i quote posts in the dev screens?
I'm really impressed with these warehouses! Hopefully there will eventually be a way to drive inside them!
