Hello, this is a thread about the Most Dangerous cars that you have seen. For me it is a (And you know it) The Ford Pinto.Just what did they think makeing this car?
The Citroen AX GTi is possibly one of the most unsafe hot hatches ever built. It features a 1.4L SOHC engine that makes 100hp, which isn't alot, but it's pretty quick in a car that weighs just north of 700kg. But power isn't the reason why it's unsafe. Citroen, for some reason, decided to throw in nearly-stock brakes and suspension with their hot hatch, which results in a car that has more go than slow. In other words, it accelerates quickly and it can't brake to make up for its power; also the suspension is very poorly tuned, as the ride height is too high and the suspension is too soft to handle the power around the corners. For this reason the overwhelming majority of AX GTi owners modify their suspension and braking system, as these are the two things that make this a dangerous car to drive.
Ibishu Pigeons are known to be very unsafe, on average about 200 people a year die in these death traps, Ibishu states that "Pigeons are very safe." the IIHS begs to differ. Overall Pigeons are very deadly. Oh wait..
I think this is the most Dangerous (and uglyiest) car today: The TATA Nano. It's not available (fortunately) in Europe because it failed EuroNCAP crash tests.
When you have a gigantic pendulum swinging around at the back with no weight over the front wheels, and a poorly set up suspension system you're pretty much screwed the second you get lift off oversteer.
the car was safe but americans didn't know how to drive it so they were crashing everywhere they were going. This was thanks to the swing rear axle for instance in former Czechoslovakia almost all car from two main manufacter Tatra and Škoda had swing axles. Tatra 11 (1923-1926) Czechoslovak secret weapont Tatra 87 (1936-1950) an And ubiquitous Škodas 1000MB, 100 and 105/120
Except it wasn't, it had minor handling issues that Ralph Nader blew outta proportion. Also, speaking of dangerous, I just bought an MR2
this car is the most dangerous car to drive in the world... because if your friends saw you in one they'd laugh at you to death.
Only in resource-wasting 'Murica. Everywhere else, the Prius is quite well regarded. Speaking of dangerous cars...
the most dangerous car was the ford pinto because the gas tank was directly over the exhaust so if someone crashed into you you could make a fireball
