My favorite mod seems to be bugged. The tires have no texture D: I already checked compatibility with other mods and that wasn't the problem.
I made simple fix for "no texture" issue after 0.37 I delete "metallicMap": "/vehicles/common/tires/tire_01a_m.data.png", line from D-Troxx_Wheel_Pack.zip/vehicles/common/tires/main.materials.json and restart my PC Here is link to my modified file if smb needs to: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C6lZu3uKy55gFetYZg6AxuvpVZE1tKUm?usp=sharing
tire_01a_m.data.png cant be found after 0 37 update what causes this issue --- Post updated --- i fix this issue! Look at my message above --- Post updated --- If after restart issue still here - clean cache and make sure that you unsubscribe from the mod in the repository (otherwise it may overwrite the mod back)
Thank you very much! The tires look blacker than before, but at least those annoying letters are gone. Thanks again.
Important part: if you have mod (car) what contains D-Troxx wheels in own ZIP file - you should find and delete D-Troxx folder in there. Otherwise you keep getting same "no texture" issue on tires.
Absolutely love this mod, especially the streched tires - but after update .37, cars starts sliding all over (ignition off even) when stretched tires are put on the rear wheels - anyone know a fix for this?
yeah was gonna say ive tried basically everything you suggested and it still didnt fix the issue only problem is i wouldnt actually know which one of my mods have the wheels in it
I find D-Troxx folder in 3-4 of my vehicle mods by visually inspect cars configs pictures in game (in car selector). This is long process... or just open all of your car mods zip files and search in "common" folder. for example: Im find D-Troxx folder in my Supraa80.zip/Vehicles/Common/ Also u can use other mods like brdracing wheels pack
yeah i dont know none of my mods seems to have a D-Troxx folder so its likely one of my mods that maybe add tires or touches them that are causing problems either that or my game is just not playing nice with me
hi guys, if you know the wheels on this mod only have a small amount of tires anybody know how to do to use all the tires from a specific size? or if it's possible
just a question do you remember the name of the mods that you found the d-troxx folder in? --- Post updated --- ok so actually it turns out i am a dumbass and ive been placing the file in the wrong folder i had accidentally placed it in vehicles/common/DTroxx_wheels/D-Troxx instead of Tires i have corrected my mistake and the no texture problem is gone --- Post updated --- i can also confirm that no restart or anything is needed you simply close beam and replace the file and the issue is gone
@Maj.Raven @variousartists_ @zyket Here a fix which adds the material file back into the game. Seems it got removed. Glad people are still enjoying this old mod
Yay!!! Wow, thank you D-Troxx! Hey just a question, what needs to be done to make this mod compatible with [PAID] TheTalkingBath's Tire Pack ? Is it doable and what would be the best approach? Anyone's suggestions very welcome
it's certainly doable, but it's gonna be a tedious process. you'll have to change the tire slot from the DT tires (e.g. "tire_F_DT_17x8") to the regular ones (e.g. "tire_F_17x8") in each wheel brand's jbeam file for each model and size. I've tried a while ago on the wheels that I liked the most but gave up after four brands lol I also had to do some trial and error for the rim and tire widths since they were not always a perfect match (had to assign a different tire width to a certain rim width), but now you can do that on the fly with the in-game tuning tab when using TTB's tires.
Thank you for responding! Oh ok … since the TTB's tires show up on almost any and all rims I had figured they already were in the regular slot … I thought I would have to mod the D-Troxx-wheel-pack since TTB's tires only don't show up here and the wheel pack has special tire options (that's why I asked here). But I haven't even opened either of the zips because I wanted to ask first about how to approach it so as not to cause havoc. My main goal would be to make only one of TTB's Trackday Tire options available on the smaller and wider D-Troxx Watanabe rim options, so I guess it might not be too much of a tedious process.
you're welcome! yeah, it should be fairly simple in your case - just mind the diameter, TTB doesn't go below 13'' while the D-Troxx Watanabes are available in 10'' and 12'' too. as for the width options, you should be able to adjust the 13x5.5 tire onto the 13x6 rim very easily with some adjustment in the tuning tab, same goes for the 13x8 tires onto the 13x9/10/11/12 rims (although you might get some stretch on the wider rims).
