is there a way to change the actual power output of an engine and its respective curve, or am I being a stupid.
http://wiki.beamng.com/Installing_Content#Installing_Resources_.28Manual_Method.29 In vehicle options, choose the customizable engine and customizable transmission on the parts list, then go to tuning tab.
Lovely mod I have a suggestion, I have seen cars in game that have an option to make the brakes stronger or weaker front and rear, any chance you can add that to? when you have time keep up the great work sir
Thanks for your help 440cid, highly appreciated. I'm currently on vacation, hence why I haven't been able to reply, but when I get back home in about 3-3.5 weeks I will start work on another mod which includes customizable tire grip, customizable brakes and other things that have to do with vehicle handling.
That is great, and yes I was thinking about the tire grip to, but the brake thing would help me a lot, now I have to remove the brake discs to get the cars to be more daring (and that do not look good on the big rig) So this mod would help a lot to lessen the work when setting up cars and scenes to record videos with thanks for the great work, and have nice vacation
This would be a good addition. However it can't be all that useful for older cars unless we have installed ABS. I tried installing drag race drum brakes on Moonhawk & Barstow and it just gave me wheel lock every sudden hard brakes haha. I believe this mod will come in handy as we improve braking force or if there's a selectable ABS on the customizable brake, it will be top notch!
Hi Warkus, I am working on a Configuration mod and i was wondering if i could use your Customizable engines and drivetrains mod in some of my cars I will give you credit for the engines From GaffiStick. Also known as Jonathan Dam on steam
sure, everything I do is to help the community so. If i can help the community make mods for the community, thats even better.
Update is hopefully coming today, if I can get steam to update on my laptop without bluescreening. Today is the only day I will be able to use the laptop so. if I don't manage to get it done today then I will have to wait two more weeks untill I'm home.
If you don't have future ideas for the mod, here are some of mine: Adjustable burnCoef - So you can make a modern economy engine to a dragster engine, fuel economy and heat-wise. Adjustable Weight - To simulate the size of and material used for the engine. Adjustable Strength - So you can make fragile F1 engines to hard derby engines.
Right now I sadly don't have access to any computer, as I'm on vacation, but when I get home on next Sunday I should be able to fix that.
I can not find which parameter to change to make that happen saddly, but the other 2 mentioned I managed to quite easilly do, so expect to see those in the next update, whenever I get done with it, I just started with the update and i just keep finding more and more things I want to change, so I might never get done...
You should add a CE Oil Cooler, to go along the CE Radiator. Maybe even CE Turbos? I have a couple videos of me drifting a CE Pessima you can use it in your overview if you want, or not. You made my dream of making great drift cars on BeamNG possible, thank you!
I'm working on a quite massive update right now that adds 2-3 kinds of aspiration (3-4 if you count naturally aspirated) to all cars, so yea. About the video, I don't really think it's necessary, because my mod doesn't add any visual parts, so it might aswell be a base game Pessima. The only kind of video I would need is a sorta tutorial that shows how the mod works.
I never thought I would have to come to this point, but I have to sadly ask for help to finish this update. I have burnt myself out on it, whenever I open up notpad++ I just get lost in the numbers and letters and just don't get anywhere. I've always had a bit of a hard time getting going, but i could easilly sit 4-5 hours on the evening/night just writing in Notepad++ before, but now all that happends when I open notepad++ is I change like two things then start watching youtube.
Yeah, I know that feeling. You start on a project, you imagine it finished and loads of people like it, you keep working on it, but just start to give up and want do something else. I worked on my own fun little RPGMaker projects, but just never finished them. It's pretty common actually: Early Access games just abandoned by the developers (not Beam.ng tho), or games never shown the light of the day at all. They exist. It's fine. There's a lot of suggestions here so just take your time. We all got this for free so you know. I myself was a bit inspired to have a "Customizable Tires" mod where you modify the friction, durability, heat resistance, etc of tires. Obviously, I didn't actually finish it, not even close.
If you are seriously considering making a customizable tires mod, would you consider collaborating? If you help me finish this update and then we can collaborate on the "customizable tires mod" you started.
