I'm amazed by all the work getting done! Everything seems to be getting done super quick! This game needs multiplayer badly! Are all the skins/shells you've shown off going to be in the next update? And actual shell deformation? That will be a huge update in itself.
i find the CRD trucks extremly wobly when you accelerate on paved roads (at least the wheels wobble alot) not multiplayer, a good splitscreen function would do.
Yep. Some of them are still in a work in progress status: - nWo - New World Order: need to rebuild the whole body map in black - not yet started - Soldier Fortune Black Ops: the base texture I have is a bit low res. I'm rebuilding it from scratch using that as a reference - in progress - Grave Digger XXVII: got the authorization from @Fen to introduce some upgrades to his truck (working headlights, fully functional skin system, more cohesive paint scheme for colorable parts, shell moved to the chassis_B with halo) and include it in the main development branch - not yet started. All the other trucks shown (Perpetual Destruction, Soldier Fortune, Mad Scientist, Jester) are ready for deployment. I'm working on it. I have designed three approximated generic beam structures (pickup, fastback and SUV) in order to adapt them to each of the different body shells according to their shape. So far I'm having a few issues - interaction of the body with the chassis underneath may produce unpredictable results, such as the whole body folding like a wallet in case of a very violent frontal impact, and some cases of wierd flexbodies glitches due to the increased nodeweight, like the front shocks appearing deformed in Soldier Fortune. Two layers of beams (like with a spaceframe + shell structure) don't work very well together in BeamNG, so this might well be like tilting at windmills... I could postpone the release until those are fixed in order to produce a significant and much needed update to the mod, or release them as they are now and keep on working on the structures while you all enjoy the new trucks. Up to you. --- Post updated --- A well know issue I'm yet to iron out properly. One that's been tormenting me since... ever. The axles assemblies need strong stiffening to prevent this, but then Hell ensues. The truck can't go in a straight line anymore and even slight bumps can randomly kill the whole driveline depending on the angle of impact. I want to fix it, I really do, but nothing I've attempted so far seems to do the trick.
i would like to see them released. i could help with finding glitches like i did with the tire exploding fiasco.
Me personally, I would like new trucks. Like gameboy said, we could help find some possible glitches, and it will keep people busy for a bit while more work gets done.
Not to be rude but the paint on that GD is like from 2011, same with the body... Im working on a Cohen now so it can use the better body and paint B)
I redesigned the textures for both Monster Energy and Lucas Oil Crusader from scratch. The existing ones available on SM couldn't match the body mesh perfectly - they were too narrow to wrap up the body correctly, and it kinda showed upfront - so I simply went and remade them using @ROCKGODBOSS' awesome template as a reference (just saved the original grille and headlights design, for consistency) That's the final result of a sleepless night, glad you like it.
