Yeah ive been in windowed the whole time too, since the resolution is so low it looks horrific full screen.
i have an octocore (8 cores), -snipped long message...more on that in a sec- i just realised i think you got your people mixed up, when i was talking about the 'stock 3.2 with a turbo to 3.8...' i was referring to deject3d's cpu, not mine.....if you replace -Junky- with -deject3d- then everything would make sense, sorry about the confusion
Ok, just done the Moonhawk, definitely much lower FPS. After this i'm going to pitch all 3 cars against each other to compare FPS on a graph. Once again, 3770K @4.5GHz, AMD Radeon HD6870. Stock Moonhawk, all lowest settings/res, pure Grid map. Phsysics On/Off, cars listed from 1 to 10. wait is this the covet or the moonhawk? the top makes me think moonhawk, the data area says covet....i assume moonhawk and you just edited the values from the other post?
Yes sorry, Moonhawk! Did a bit of copy and pasting, seems i let that slip through! Thanks for pointing that out.
got it, thanks data is in , after posting that i also noticed the graph said moonhawk so i figured it out your fps is so much better (though your processor is also 3x the price) thanks for all the data,
Just for fun, did a comparison of the 3 cars, Physics on. 3770k @4.5GHz, AMD Radeon 6870. Moonhawk Covet D-Series

230 303 295

120 153 160

77 102 103

52 74 73

32 53 56

21 44 44

16 25 24

15 22 21

12 19 18

12 17 17

Looks like the D-Series and Covet are really close.
i7 4700hq @3.4ghz, Gtx675m, and 12gb of 1600mhz ram Gavril D series Physics on 1, 172 fps 2, 89 fps 3, 60 fps 4, 32 fps 5, 20 fps 8, 11 fps Physics off 1, 350 fps 2, 260 fps 3, 210 fps 4, 170 fps 5, 153 fps 8, 100 fps
awesome idea for a thread btw, will definitely be nice to no longer get threads like this one: http://www.beamng.com/threads/3634-Will-it-run (at least, provided they check this thread first)
Heres my results for the D-series on my Q6600 2.4 GHz 1 car = on 56 off 104 2 cars = on 21 off 84 3 cars = on 17 off 71 4 cars = on 14 off 63 5 cars = crash Covet 1 car = 64 100 2 cars = 22 71 3 cars = 18 67 4 cars = 13 53 5 cars = 10 47 6 cars = 9 44 7 cars = 8 41 8 cars = 7 38 9 cars = 6 34 10 cars = 5 32 Moonhawk (Ready for depressing?) 1 car = 17 93 2 cars = 15 68 3 cars = crash
I dont remember my Q6600 performing that bad? Then again i cant remember the last time i tried multiple cars on it. Also its OC'd to 3.0GHz. When i go to my parents house over summer, its the PC i use, so i'll test it out in a month or so.
yeah, i looked it up and saw it turbo-ed to 3.7, so i used that number...im not familiar with turbo boost but recently i read it only does turbo boost if 1-2 cores are being used. if so then i guess it would be staying at stock clocks while playing the game? Should i change it back to 3.3 or leave it at 3.7?? -also, congratz, you are the only processor that takes up 2 lines in the table because i refuse to make it any wider
I've noticed that on the first post for the D-series and the Moonhawk you put "Intel Core 2 Q6600" but on the Covet you put "Intel Core 2 Quad"
oops, thanks, i initially put in core 2 quad, then i went back and changed it to q6600, guess i forgot to change that entry
would be cool if on the front page the cpus performance would be lined up from the worst fps to the best
