the latest in attempts to drain all sanity from my head began porting a few days ago (jan 13th?) it's shaping up decently enough for a thread for you to gawk at for now i suppose no i won't badge or name it differently, it's already not a "real" car This is a budget minded RWD 4 cylinder 2dr european midsize sedan (by 1970s standards) with a decent variety in mechanical and trim specification. Ranging from a 60~ HP 1.3L ohc 4 upto a 2.0 with 110hp it should be enough to keep you going sideways round most intersections with the relatively low weight this thing has. Spoiler: approx state of completion have a few pictures for posterity if there's any progress i'll post it, otherwise you are just being annoying asking about it or release dates, so don't thx Spoiler: FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions Q: Other bodystyles planned? A: I would like a 4dr but thats quite heavily dependant on modelling ability of people willing to send me meshes (I'm horrific at bodywork) - i also find the wagon hideous, no Q: Other engines? A: A six cylinder of some description is on the table, if an I6 will fit that will be used instead of a V6 because i prefer them. OHV V8 and DOHC 4 cylinder in 1.8/2.0 is also possible i suppose. HEAVILY dependent on my own free time. Q: when relez? A: when i think its good enough. just because its ""better"" than a bunch of other garbage designed only for screenshots doesn't mean im going to dump it onto the forums in an incomplete state i do infact have minimum quality standards, as should most of you... Q: MWC mod parts???? A: If the author gives me permission and provides me meshes i can make a separate addon pack for parts included in MWC mods (rivett revamp etc) ABSOLUTELY NO GUARANTEES. Q: USDM MXDM???? A: If i have surplus time after making the base car yeah maybe, theres already some large bumpers included and it's LHD. RHD cars may have to wait for a small update post release, this is TBD i don't know yet. Q: Whats it need before you think its good enough to release???? A: Check the topmost image in the thread, that's a progress indicator not just there for fun, apply eyeballs i'm not here to do everything for you yknow. Q: How much like the MWC car will it be? A: 90% atleast, there will be some deviation to keep it fitting in BeamNG and to fix some oversights caused by MWC only having 1 engine like base models having the 1.3 instead of all being 2.0. CURRENT CREDITS 22/5/26 Amistech games - Base car, meshes, various textures, giving me permission to do this My testing group - telling me to fix my garbage BeamNG - some materials and basic jbeam
Is the port only going to have the 4 Cylinder engines, It would be neat to have the 2.3 Colongne or the 2.0 version. anyways pretty cool
depends what other beam engines fit more than anything else, legran v6 or a v8 of some kind was definitely on the cards but not guaranteed enough to stay on the list
This is gonna be Exciting Players (Like myself) who play MWC&MSC love the Rivett and the Satsuma, being able to have both of them at the same time is a dream come true as we can have both the satusma (Modded in MWS or base game) and our speced rivett in the MSC map is a dream everyone has wanted to happen...someone needs to do a sorbet and a hayosiko mod to go along with them or even a Rusko mod having the MSC variant, restored, then a custom variant and finally a MWC version and what it would look like if it was in the game
stop asking for so many things, this is probably going to be the same as the suma, just a port with only the in-game bodystyle and tuning parts
meshes arent detailed enough & i don't feel like spending the rest of my life making those useable 5 - 10 years probably bodystyles depends quite heavily on what any of my friends that have actual modeling ability are able to cook up (i'm utterly hopeless with bodywork) MWC lighting materials and no normalled panelgaps is tough to see in a different game that offers loads of better alternatives in box lol cool to see theres interest in porting this across though, seems like a few are trying to speedrun it tho which is a bit of a shame
the body is identicle across each trim and year the only difference is brightwork (Chrome), Engine, Axle, Suspension, Wheels, Interior colour, Exterior colour (+vinyl roof) and other optional extras
