Like G-Farce said, one of the goals of this event is to learn from the other If we can do it, I will help you, it's really easy you will see
Yo, I'll join this, looks pretty interesting. Looks to me like a 'fix the car provided and make it presentable' challenge, and I'm down for that.
What if we dont use mods, will we get extra points?, Also if we just use the original fixtues it will be way more challenging. and i got an idea that each car can has specific rules and limit, this must be under 500hp, no mods, etc.
You got it. That's the idea! Yes you can do any engine. Good point, if you share the file then you are allowed @cob4lt974 each round maye have different rules, for now the gates are open on fixtures. I imagine not everyone is used to vanilla. Certainly not me, just started Automation for fun. I can't say what is using mod or vanilla but I'll say it shouldn't matter, if the design is coherent, original or a good interpretation of the original idea, you're gonna rate better in some areas
I think autonation laptime may help determine the test score tho. Also how many .car of the same car submision max.
We have started! This silly little Competition is now underway! Here is the first .car file, it's a car I struggled with when I first used Automation, both in exterior design and handling. An upstart high-tier sportscar that handles very terribly unfortunately, but it might scratch the supercar thrill for the uneducated with enough money to throw away. Fix this heap, rip off the fixtures, give it a complete makeover and make it your own! Rules: Change your Max Year to: 1979 1981 (so you can use an lsd) Fuel: 95premium Max Production cost: $140k ( 'approximate cost' on market section) You may start from scratch with a similar body category from the same era, however you may lose bonus points, and your production cost gets a 50K penalty, which reduces your max production cost to just 90K Gross Further Penalties for using Semi slick tyres and rear tyre width above 290mm. Production cost target and penalties will be factored into your bonus points and Automation score. If you want to, can freely share vehicle progress or inspiration/concepts, ask for advice with fixtures etc, steal ideas share ideas/suggestions, fool around, have fun with it
Must have slipped through quality control. hmm try to change it back? if not possible then I'll change the year and production cost
Also, can we have car Roast sesion after the round complete, but only the participants in the conversation/pm?
I have a new question too: I know that some cars produced between 1970 and 1979 was equipped with a limited slip differential, like the Ford Falcon XB GT 1973 for example. So, theoretically, we can install it on our car. But in Automation, we must set the date on 1981 to unluck this possibility. Do we have the permission to set the trim year only on 1981? PS: It seems to be easy to stay under the 140k budget, but it's actually quite hard for me
Automation is weird tbh. I didnt use lsd(1971 car,yeah.......),but if this where 'legal' in this comp, i will change too. Speaking of cost, where do you got it?, is it the 'approximate cost' on market section?
Yes, but I was forced to increase the quality of somes of the engine parts, and I have never take in consideration the budget before today XD
Mine basicaly nerfed version of the original engine, Its has bettter parts type but in lower quality. Its pumping Spoiler: hp spoiler 407hp And its already problematic What about yours?
