This is the ultra-rare Bruckell Moonhawk GTM. Only 1,102 were ever built between 1976 and 1977. One just surfaced in Italy and I got to drive it! The GTM, or "Grand Touring Modified," featured a 404-ci V8 mated to a 3-speed automatic and 3.08 limited slip diff, rated at 200 net HP. A 5-speed manual was planned but never offered. Notably, the GTM was the last Moonhawk relative to ship with the 404, since emissions and fuel economy standards were quickly tightening at the time. Aside from the performance features, the GTM came with sport suspension and wheels, a fiberglass spoiler and a wicked paint job. It was far from fast, but at least it looked the part. The GTM was dropped in 1977 for various reasons. The body style was downsized, the 404 was discontinued, muscle cars were going out of style, not to mention the company making the flame-orange paint went bust.
