1985 Civetta Bolide 320, possibly the most fun you can have for $10,000 or less. The more powerful, more sought-after 350 GT and 390 GTR will easily command six figures in good condition. These base models, though, have depreciated to the point where a good one can be had south of $15,000. I got this one from a good friend for just $5,000 and some unwanted furniture. The Bolide has an undeserved reputation for bad-tempered handling, mainly due to snap oversteer issues with early examples. In truth, later models like mine are some of the best-handling cars around. The 3.2-liter V8 produces only about 198 HP, and most of it is above 5,000 RPM, but the body is so light that you could make do with half that. The Bolide's mileage is actually pretty good for what it is - I use it for my daily commute and get around 25 MPG. You're not actually supposed to drive it fast, though. The point of this car is not to go fast, but to be enjoyable at any speed, on any road.
I love surprises. And if they are this nice, even better! How good the English language offers so many synonyms for bad... And luckily, there are many more... The Atrocious, The Dreadful, The Crappy, The Abominable, The Gross, The Deficient, The Horrendous, The Horrid, The Horrifying, The Bad, The Detestable, The Abhorrent, The Hideous, The Ghastly, The Hopeless, The Pitiful, The Wretched, The Gruesome, The Desolate, The Appalling, The Disastrous, The Vile, The Obnoxious, ... . . . . . . .
