This is the 1980 Gavril Kingsnake, a compact muscle car based on the FWD Barstow. It features fine-tuned suspension, a five-speed manual transmission with no overdrive, and an eye-popping paint job to boot. 452 CI of cast-iron American excess send 300 HP and 380 lbs-ft straight to the front wheels. Only 1091 were produced, each one sold at a loss. This burnout was 100% intentional. There is very little wheelspin unless you dump the clutch - the front end is sufficiently weighty that under normal conditions, all that torque goes right into the ground. It will do 0-60 in six seconds flat. The suspension is firm and low, making body roll almost non-existent. It can outmaneuver an Ibishu 200BX in corners, then absolutely destroy it on the straightaway. This may just be the most fun you can have in a front-wheel-drive car. I will be making another variant, a "Soliad Primarch," powered by a high-tech DOHC I4.
