Gave WorldMachine a shot. It's a wonderful program. I like the whole node system, reminds me of the one in Blender. Just need to figure out the basics (Like Textures, etc).

Too much terraces in my opinion. Use and abuse erosion, it really make a difference (hence why World Machine exceeds others landscape software).
If you want to texture, use a Colorizer then a Bitmap Output. If you want to be able to see it in the 3D view, plug this and the heightmap to an Overlay View.

I'm still struggling from time to time too, and good tutorials are scarce.

On topic : Cliffhanger. Literally :p

    ME WANT IT!!

OT: Two rims I've made so far, A Nice and simple uneven spoke and a crazy Pacman killing coins rims, Don't know why but I added blood to Pacman teeth. It is really weird now. If you want a give at the rims the SKP and Dae for them are here below. Soon will be releasing a thread for it. If someone wants to give it a go to get it in game pls do i wanna see what they look like. ATM I can only Model and not Input. Pls enjoy

Thanks for the tip. Will mess more tomorrow.
Was looking for a way to implement roads, but lack of tutorials on that :(

Sorry, but that's not how rims works.
On the red one, the spokes shouldn't extrude to the other side of the rim.
And the pacman one is not a rim, but a circle with things on one side.

If you want to get good at making rims, study how they are done, look at how the rims are done in BeamNG and etc.
This can give you an input:

Im just making (terrible) rims atm to find something to do because I'm not going to become a serious modeler just someone who occasionly does something. i just made them to my likings and i know i got to fix that red rim because the spokes are also uneven. They were built in Sketchup.

I still use L3DT to built roads. My guess to do it in WM would be using layouts and various combiners. Not sure.
We maybe should continue this discussion on a proper WM thread.
BTW are you using the free or pro version ?
