close because it was turning/has turned into a series of unrelated arguments and insults, close != delete as you proposed in your own thread

I think that it is becoming apparent that there is a certain forum member that stirs the wrath of us, and while I should probably say it in PM, I will just say it here:

NkosiKarbul, you NEED to stop with the whole "be nice because the person is innocent and he never did anything" thing. This is the Internet, and when there is Internet, there WILL be injustice and insults and smartass remarks and ESPECIALLY jerks. You CANNOT get rid of them. You CANNOT make them change their ways by arguing with them. You CANNOT solve a problem on any site that is not completely mature with a civil argument, 9 times out of ten. So you need to stop trying to defend anyone if they have an insult directed towards them. Yes, it is the good thing to do, but this is the Internet, and that will just make it worse. If the problem is getting too serious for that one person, they can press the nifty little red X in the corner, or even the all-powerful power button! I am constantly insulted at school, but I have the ability to ignore the things others say, and I can do it myself. That helps a lot when no one is around to help. On the Internet, if you tell someone to stop, they usually won't, so the red X is your solution then.

tl;dr Nkosi, stop defending others so forcefully. It is making you look bad, because you are insulting others during the process. You even said that you knew people were fed up with you, so STOP.
