for the bluebuck the easiest fix is definitely something like a widened sport hood. Since the bluebuck platform is my base line to move things around on, changing the height on that would throw everything off. So ya that would be a lot more work than it's worth. For other vehicles i could modify the dry sump pan and it may not clip anymore, but often there are also other parts that start getting in the way like steering racks and sway bars --- Post updated --- I'll be honest, i wasn't even aware the Can-Am existed and it makes me wanna do it as a config now lol and i suppose i could just add in the 353, also i dunno a ram-air hood could look a lil goofy on the barstow, might be worth a try tho
Here's a prototype config I threw together for the Can Am-inspired Moonhawk. Parts are as follows: - 1976-1978 fascia front and rear - 448cui V8 - 4-barrel carburetor - Stock engine parts (Distributor, rockers, internals, etc.) - Three-speed automatic transmission with floor shifter - 2.64:1 final drive with PlusTrak limited-slip diff - Heavy Duty front and rear suspension components - 15x8 Alder Dragger wheels front and rear - 235/60 Radial T/A tires front and rear - Power Bulge hood (Which would be replaced with a Can Am-style shaker scoop, as on the real car) - Bone White base color with orange Can-Am stripe applications (Represented here by pinstripes) Description: Limited production high performance big-block V8 model sold at a select few dealers on the West Coast, combining malaise comfort with muscle car flair. Only 1200 were produced for the 1977 model year.
oh this is good! I'll largely go of this when i eventually make the config I think im more inclined to use the ghx front end with chrome bumpers tho
The reason I stuck with the stock 1976-1978 fascia is because I envisioned it as being a special edition appearance package for the Moonhawk instead of its own unique model.
true that does make sense, i may need to overthink how i use the GHX front/rear end since it is meant to be a special trim level, and i've just used it as the late model trim for the GHX lineup so the Can Am esque config might be a better fit for it
This is a fantastic mod and hopefully in the future I will be able to tip you once I have my feet under me. I was curious if you could provide insight on the torque and power curves at high rpm. I like to build high revving motors and have some irl experience that shows with enough airflow and a shorter stroke, your power peaks can be way up at 7800 to 8000 rpm. When I try to build a small motor to do those things, the power curves always seem to peak at like 6500 or so and then drop off from there. Once again it's a fantastic mod!
Thank you! Glad you're enjoying it some engines can be pushed to higher peak power than others, atm internals make the biggest difference, after that comes the cylinder head and stroker kit (the over square stroker kit makes more peak power). Intakes, exhaust headers and such also affect it in different ways. I may split up the internals into multiple categories in the future to allow for better tuning tho
after using it for some time i have to say it's amazing customization for base vehicles are my favourite mods especially when they don't only add a part but a whole engine ecosystem if you can call it like that where everything is so detailed good job JAVI it's a great mod :3
Maybe aluminum plating instead of wood on the Moonhawk's dash would be good for the NASCAR and GHX variants?
i think the moonhawk has it's interior textures backed onto everything which makes it kinda hard to change, I could maybe overlay a mesh and make that metal tho
It's ya boi, back again with another config he'd like to donate to the CEEP cause. Config name: Wheelman Description: Lightly modified 1975 sport model, used by the titular character in the 1978 crime thriller The Wheelman. Equipped with a big-block V8, three-speed automatic and a garish paintjob, while the car itself may not be exciting, the film's climactic night-time chase through downtown Belasco City certainly was.
Yes it does. It's likely an issue on your end, but you need to be more specific than 'it doesn't work".
all I can say to you is: clear your cache, try again but with that being said, small disclaimer for everyone don't try to spawn the 'Mohawk' config for the Moonhawk, it seems to have become unstable due to the new game update and will crash your game
Uh, I noticed that when equipping Stage 1-3 internals on the 392 engine for the Barstow, the game freezes. --- Post updated --- Dunno if it's an issue on my end.
Just tried a Barstow with Stage 1 internals on the 392 (no other changes from a 423 Roadsport auto), no freezing. Which config did you use as a base to start equipping on?
oh true, happened to me on the stage 2 internals it also crashed for me while doing internals for a burnside engine, not sure why this is happening. But it works again after just re-writing the exact same code 0.31 really introduced some strange bugs into this mod
Oh also since i haven't posted any updates on progress here i'll just throw some big changes/additions in here like the new GH/S config for the moonhawk a new 1955-1956 front end for the burnside also a pretty customizable grille flathead goodness new and updated intakes/filters as well as new looks for the race and dry sump oil pans plus a oil cooler
