The radius is around 28m. This is approximately the same as the tightest corner on the chicago L. It is actually an incredibly tight corner, even for a subway / metro type system. --- Post updated --- If you check out my latest post in the development screens thread, there's loads of screens of the protype train going round the corners
I dont know if you actually live in chicago but i live in hampshire and go to chicago oftenly in my opinion this looks great!
I can't work on this anymore due to being back at Uni, so I've released everything so far in the first post. Enjoy Have fun guys!
Thanks for what you have released. I haven't looked into it any more than simply opening the zips. (I did see your screenshots earlier and was impressed). Would you consider releasing your work material? Blender projects and etc? I think that would be worthwhile if you want to encourage people to use what you've done so far to make nice things.
I just tried to test the map after i repacked it and it does not work on my end. I have all the files, it shows up in the map selector but when you open the map and then click on the next one to open the like all maps now since the new update. It will not load and just brings me back to the startup menu. Can someone who know what they are doing please look at the files because i haven't really learnt about map making yet so i don't know what the problem is.
I would happily send it all over to anyone I think could make use of it. There's not many people on this forum who are familiar enough with Blender to make it worthwhile posting up here right now though. Besides, remember all the pieces are completely modular, so hopefully someone can use the pieces on another map to good effect
Can you be more specific so I can try to help you solve this? When you just say you can't get it to work, I really can't do anything about it...
OMG did u actually do it lol --- Post updated --- here try this You need to manually position the train on the tracks. Try something like: -63.1045 -0.0233094 8.1773
Did you download both the vehicles and the map zip. The 5000_Series_Forum_Upload and the map Zips. When i installed it the vehicle showed up in the top corner of the vehicle selector. If you want help you need to provide more details and actually try the things they tell you, otherwise you'll find that people will stop helping you.
I have to third that - even if it's only finished as just four blocks, it will be the most magnificent four blocks in a map ever. I personally don't have experience with blender but I'm sure you will find people with adequate knowledge and motivation to at least finish a little part of it. So far, you have made something amazing and unique. Great job! Hope to see more updates from either you or someone else in the future. Edit: I downloaded both files but I don't see any train showing up... Please help me - thanks!
