Cherrier Vivace & Tograc

The Vivace and Tograc electric works underwater, I know there is no engine but that's not normal ahah x) Batteries usually don't like water !

 

This is because EVs dont hydrolock, adn the game does not support this kind of damage.

 

Oh well I guess I'll use The vivace and Tograc as submarines then ahah XD

 

Why they don't add a french single tone horn for basic version. This is so funny to hear.
I like this car and the work of sound and everything is unbelievable.

Anyone else got an issue when trying to use a rear electric motor with the rally suspension? completely un-drivable, like the motor isn't connected

 

Perhaps this is a mod issue?
Disable and check.

 

only mod i have installed is pidgeon mod, can anyone replicate?

etk. i tested both into a wall at 55 in neutral. the vivace's interior was deformed. the etk looked pristine on the inside

First of all congratulations to the new additon to BeamNG!

Second,I was wondering if this new vehicle platform could be made lighter?
Why? Because real life european and compact cars around the World are being made lighter, thanks in part to newer technologies like AHS steel, aluminium, plastics etc..
For example the Peugeot 308 2. generation has a Curb weight of 1170 Kgs with the 1.2L Puretech turbo-petrol engine.
Currently its over 200 Kgs heavier than it should be, could this say incorrectness be corrected in a next update?

First of all, I think this car is amazing and the best one yet but I have a suggestion.

My suggestion is to have an automatic emergency brake (AEB) system so when you get to close to a car without braking, it slams the brakes and turns on hazards. You should also be able to turn it off in the Vehicle Configurations menu.

I disagree with you and agree with Diamondback.

German Wikipedia list its weight between 1280 - 1580 kg. Which is precisly the weight class I would expect out of modern car this size. Progress in weight reduction is indeed always made but it usually more than overcompensated by more accessories, a more luxurious interior, stringent crash safety requirements and also the simple fact that vehicles on average tend to get larger and larger. I also would not overestimate the weight reductions of downsized engines....... first you need far more secondary engine componets like turbochargers and turbocharger piping, direct injection high pressure fuel pump. Then the engine itself has to be made from a higher quality material which is usally heavier as the stress on the material inside a modern "eficient" ICE is significantly higher than in the past. They also have to meet the most stringent emission standards which costs even more weight.


The time where compact cars built for the european market where close to 1 ton than to 1.5 tons are gone. Even my Mk 2 Focus - and vehicle more than a decade old - weights in excess of 1300 kg.... without a driver.

Even small cars today usually approach 1200kg+ in any reasonable street worthy configuration.


Lastly.... it is not a Peugot... it is a Cherrier Vivace.

 

Considering both my cars combined weight is less than an average hatchback nowadays makes me think about my safety just a little bit too much.

 

I love the car, Especially the i5 engine sounds and speed, but the car sorta needs some jbeam work. like the car gets pretty spiky when you crash it especially the A Pillers and interior of the car. but again thank you devs for giving us a great update! stay safe and healthy!

I was just bringing up real world examples, but if it affects its In game usability then alright.

 

Are you replacing both the fuel tank with the battery pack and the engine with the electric motor? It works fine for me.
