And also the fact that they are too high poly for a BeamNG mod, mainly the fenders and creases on the bumpers.
hi, have you decided on horsepower and rpm for these cars? and are you gonna use a 5 speed sequential? if i have overseen an answer to this i apologize
I think it's a 4-speed manual, 900 or so horsepower, and probably around 9.5k-10k max rpm. Basically, older nascar engines.
Exactly why we chose this. Since this is lore-friendly, and not fully accurate to real life, we get the creative freedom to make it how we want! Why not make it good?
oh wow, didnt know i could get more hype about this mod! Also are you gonna do like lower horsepower setups/packages/tunes for superspeedway or just 900 across the board? thanks again!
Yes, probably a restrictor plate for the superspeedway setup. Also maybe a setup without the restrictor plate? It would be very fast, so I don't know if it could make the turns with that speed. Will have to do testing when we get to that point.
A quick and dirty idea for a configuration: something similar (or way more different, but with the same spirit) to the IRL Le Mans gen 7 they are preparing! --- Post updated --- Why only 4 speed? The real gen 7 has a 5 speed sequential.
awesome, thank you for answering my questions dude i cant wait for this to be finished --- Post updated --- only 4 speed cause they are making their own version of the Gen 7 car with different aero bodies setups tuning etc its basically all original inspired by the Gen 7
Maybe we could do that. I haven't seen it yet, but that sounds like a cool concept! Also, it's a 4-speed manual to start off with. We probably will have other transmission options, such as maybe a 5-speed manual or sequential, but we'll decide when we get to that point. Which shouldn't be too long from now, since I plan on getting the engine done next week. --- Post updated --- This vehicle will have more customization than the Gen 6. Of course, more bodies, but also potentially: different aero packages for each body, different transmissions, different intakes, some stuff like that. Right now, you can select from the entire stock BeamNG wheel section, instead of being stuck with one choice like the Gen 6. The body parts will be able to separate into many pieces, all of which can detach from the chassis (much unlike the Gen 6, where the sides, roof, quarter panels, and fenders are all attached to each other and inseparable from the frame), and of course the chassis can break into 3 pieces.

Neither, it will be in the garage 54, the place for testing propose, it won't compete with anybody, like the famous Nissan DeltaWing years ago. Also in 1976, there were two nascar car in Le Mans
