Actually there are a quite a few v8 fwd cars. Lincoln Continental, Pontiac Bonneville, and the Cadillac Allante, To name a few.

True, but these are all highly expensive luxury cars with massive engine bays, and most of them have longitudional engine placement. Judging by the LeGran's proportions, I don't think it would be reallistic to cram a v8 (transversely) in the engine bay, especially given the LeGran's status as a cheap "luxury" car :p

There are transverse v8 mid to low class vehicles.
    Take the olds Aurora
    oldsmobile-aurora-engine-5.jpg

its most probable that the LeGran will have a v8 in some trim

Cadillac DTS. That had transverse V8's, Of some variety.

Later model Impala and Monte Carlo SS, they had transverse LS engines.

Those are all newer cars I know, but just throwing them out there.

That's not a mid or low class at all. that's a flagship sports sedan.

Also I think its the incorrect era. From my research the biggest engine a car like this got was a V6.

Well to be fair diesels are all about torque, I'm guessing it must have had like 500Nm or something

The FWD 1989 Cadillac Fleetwood came with a V8 engine, but it may have been a larger car than the LeGran.

It's very obviously much larger than the LeGran is, it's a full size sedan so it's not even in the same category the LeGran is.

It's an ancient diesel, NA so it made 224 nm of torque...

I highly doubt that any of you have ever actually seen one of the 350 Olds diesel's, you'd know how apocalypticly bad they were. Absolutely no power at all, about as reliable as 105 year old man's knees. The 4.3 diesel was just a Olds 4.3 V6 that had the same treatment as the 350.

The 4.3 was even covered in the same class action lawsuit as the 350.

I know most of the 350 diesels were pulled out in the first 4-5 years and replaced with a normal 350 Olds. I'd assume the 4.3's were too.

Heres a video of some dorks doing dorkey things.

    1. Remove bumpers.
    2. Add red paintjob.
    3. Put gold rims on.
    4. Success!

    This is based on the K cars/early Cavalier, so I think a 1.8 to 2.2 I4, a 2.2 to 2.6 I4 and the bigger I4 with a turbo is more probable.

I swear, that rear of the Bruckell Legran looks like a 1994 Lincoln Town Car.
