Oh this cant be! Am I seeing this correctly? Maybe... YES! I AM! Because cars can always be better when they are a truck! Beta Testing?
Very cool! It kinda resembles a Volvo A-Traktor (people in Sweden cut up old Volvos and turn them into trucks). It would look better if you used the wagon's wheelbase and front doors as your base. The bed doesn't look long enough, which throws off the proportion.
Hello again! I am now back from vacation, so time to put on some modding music, and get to work. Many people said the wheelbase of the ute was not long enough, so I stared working on that. This is the result of about 10 minutes of work. Obviously it's still pretty rough, I just wanted to get opinions on this wheelbase before I put too work into it. Does it look better so far? I think it does. --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- Some subtle cleaning up and polish.
It kind of reminds me of a el camino! Are you keeping it front wheel drive or will you change it to rear wheel drive?
I don't know. Rear wheel drive would make more sense, but I would have to modify the chassis quite a bit, as well as changing the suspension setup in the rear. I'll probably finish up this front wheel drive version, release it, then have a rear wheel drive update in the future.
Some more progress: Also, stupid question, but is there a reason not every face shows up in BeamNG? For instance, this is what my model looks like right now in Blender: And this is how it shows up in game: The rear and side walls of the bed are mostly missing except for a few faces here and there.
Textures come last. I'm still editing the model so I would likely mess up any textures I applied right now.
The ute is now fully independent of all other mods. This means that you can have mods such as the LeGran coupe and wagon installed at the same time as the ute without any interference.
Windows (sorta). You can tell just how rough the rear pillar cut is from this picture.I've kinda put off fixing that because of how tedious it is.
