black mesh when .dae is exported

    hello
    i am make a front bumper for the moonhawk. I am trying to put lights on the front. when i export the mesh the lights are black. I have tried flipping normals but that doesn't work.

    (Please don't use any complicated words.. im still learning. Thanks)

    here is what i have done

    in blender i have
    1)joined the headlight mesh to the front bumper. (ctrl + j)
    2)Exported as a .dae

    Picture (i can upload some from blender if needed)

    Looks like you assigned the wrong material. If you used the same material as the rest of the car then it may be that you have not uv mapped your model, so not basically screw the texture. If you don't want to get too complex, create a new material in blender and assign it to your lights, then you can adjust it in torque3d material editor.
