im pretty happy with my i9.... but i guess threadripper 3990x is the way to go --- Post updated --- Edit: it costs alot more than one grand
"Best CPU possible for beamng" 10980XE overclocked to something ridiculous on LN2 /s Slightly more realistic: 10980XE, 3950X or 10900K on chilled water.
So single higher clock is better than having multiple cores in beamng, since beamng doesn't use that many? i was thinking maybe the i9-10900K with turbo mode 5.3Ghz paired with a Noctua NH-D15 so i could always be close to that 5Ghz limit. Any other CPUs that come to mind that could be better for beamng?
Don't buy anything from Intel or AMD with Zen 3 and Rocket Lake around the corner. Zen 2 has shit latency and Comet Lake runs hot as hell.
You’re still thinking amd is devoid of fault? Just because someone has an Intel processor that doesn’t mean they are complete idiots. Please just stop.
I never said they were devoid of fault, but their cpus are obectively better. There is absolutely no reason to buy intel in 2020.
honestly, intel didn't take AMD seriously, and now the popular mix is NVIDIA GPU, and AMD CPU. intel fucked up.
Just because someone buys an Intel processor that doesn’t mean you have to go with the, “SwItCh To AmD” thing. Please just stop saying,”Just go to amd”. Like, my current computer is a Laptop, you really think I’m gonna bring it back to Msi(with the warranty) and buy the Amd version?
Nobody said you had to switch, he's just stating the fact that Intel doesn't seem practical rn. Of course, if you had a desktop, I would encourage the switch, but if you have to go through that, then keep the blue.
Let me get this straight. You bought a gaming laptop. With an intel processor. King of bad financial decisions?
($800) Please can we stop? The thread will soon become toxic if we both continue. OT: Best CPU from Intel, Wait for 11th gen in desktop Best CPU from Amd, Wait for Zen 3 in desktop. Done. Both teams happy, but just a recommendation.
