The gameplay is dang near flawless on my pc yet the menus, ui, etc. run like I'm running the menu through a toaster and I just cannot seem to fix it in any way shape or form. It takes near 10 minutes to load up any menu in bigger maps, I'm not even exaggerating. When it does load the framerate of the menu is absolute trash, yet my game is still perfect.

Might be because I have hundreds of mods but why would that exactly make the entire ui lag, but not the game itself? Btw i'm working on getting 16 gb of ram if that would do anything

gui/menus (like vehicle selector or settings) are super unfriendly to fps
like, i have a crap pc, but it can run the actual game faster :/

More mods, more stuff to load and show on your interface.
Think it as a web page. The more content it has, the longer it takes to load and requires to render.
Start disabling the mods you don't use/need.

The best way I get my ui to function is not allow beamng.drive to work on all cores (so scratch one out of four for me) and allow beamng.ui to use all 4
    so
    Beamng physics = 3 cores
    Beamng ui = 4 cores

You could also prioritize which comes first in task manager too

But yea, like Nadeox1 said mods can kill the ui, for some no and for others yes is what I have seen

i feel you, i have a I5 7600k and a GTX 770, game is installed on a SSD. Game runs like a charm but when i start dragging on the sliders from the engine tweak mod (customizable engines and drivetrains) it will freeze

Dang I hope there may one day be a future update to fix this, if even possible.

We are working on something interesting on that side.
We will post more info when due.
For now, don't go overkill with mods.
