    I tried running the torrent update but windows just said it wasn't a valid 32bit application.


    didn't you guys say you were releasing this for linux now too? where's that at?

    tdev and estama seemed to be involved with porting torque3d to linux, that doesnt seem to be complete yet

    "Installation aborted due to invalid serial number". But it doesn't have somewhere for me to enter a number.

    we just found the bug about this. We will release a new setup today that fixes the updater not working on windows xp. Sorry :/

    haha it's not my main pc personally so w/e.


    I copied all the files from my main pc on a flash drive and it just throws a "The application failed to initialize properly" error. It may be because it's on a 730mhz pentium 3, lol.

    I installed the alpha and my antivirus gave me a message saying blocked virus or unwanted file or something and the file was "tr/dropper.gen"
    What should I make of this?

    its a false positive, both avira and norton are known for this one (and both are so bad that they themselves should be considered malware). Disable your antivirus before running the updater, enable it again after.

    Same Problem here. Update is not possible. I have a fatal error: unable to download file: version.txt
    No proxy, av turned off for updating, firewall is open for updater
    os is win 8.1u1 64bit

    any ideas someone ?

    SOLVED!

    Uninstall BeamNG, load actual download-version from http://www.beamng.com/service/latestorder and install.
    You have to uninstall first for the necessary updater-update.

    The reason you're having problems updating is because you're using the old version of BeamNG.drive, which can no longer be updated.

    You will need to uninstall the old version of the updater, then download and install the new version here: http://beamng.com/service/latestorder

    Temporarily disable your antivirus, sometimes they can interfere with your download.
