I'm not worried at all. I'm taking all the necessary countermeasures. Pretty basic stuff that should keep me and my workers a little bit safer, like hand sanitizers in the restrooms, teleworking and telepresence when possible. Schools will remain closed for 10 more days so those with a family are invited to take care of their relatives first.

No need to panic. I even set up a chopping block in the hall, so the remaining employees are executed at the first signs of infection. :)

    ;)

I don't think it's "just a flu virus". From what I've seen, it gives you a really hard case of pneumonia which is deadlier than the flu

It's not a flu virus. Influenza and orthocoronaviridae are different apart being viruses. In case you don't know SARS and MERS wee coronaviruses, but I'm sure they didn't call it ''regula flu''. Also even though the flu kills more, the virus could have a new strain meaning even worse symptoms. Let's just hope that it does not get more infectious and deadlier.

What’s funny is my mom is a registered nurse and she’s telling me that it’s just the flu and the media is blowing out of the water. Yes they are blowing it out of the water but still it’s not the normal flu. You gotta be careful regardless.

For one that’s my mother telling me it’s the flu. I’m taking it seriously. Plus it isn’t like this is a zombie outbreak.

It is technicall. You COULD say its like the flu, only a bit worse. Right now the numbers in the UK are rising, but in southern europe it is much worse. Also I see no chance of BeamNG HQs to shutdown since it is a private building :)

Please that argument got old a long time ago. I live in Korea and we have online school because the campus is closed. the fatality rate is shown by the media as total infected versus the total died but in truth, we don't know if the people infected are going to be healed or not so we would calculate fatality rate by dividing total deaths over total recovered. This makes the fatality rate significantly higher, at around 30% in my country. Also, the government has released the fact that people recovered indeed can be reinfected, the virus is able to be spread through aerosol, and that the scarring that appears in your lungs once contracting coronavirus occurs in even minor cases and lasts a lifetime.

That's false. During and after recovery, the immune system, specifically acquired immunity, "remembers" the virus and that person is protected against the same infection for at least one year.

Guess what !, the virus has been let loose in Perth Western Australia, all because of this stupid old woman who felt sick, got tested positive to it but because she had tickets to some concert in one of the stadiums here she still bloody went. I wonder how many people got infected or how many more will be and what scarier yet is that we don't know who they all are and that it'll be two weeks before anyone gets any symptoms so they wont know they have and will spread it further more without a hint of sickness... ooooh shit

I'm sorry I should have expected for people to react that way, infact when you research a little bit further, while what you said may apply for most types of diseases, sadly, the COVID19 is not one of them. There are up to a hundred of case documented so far where patients have fully recovered, meaning that when tested they have been seen as negative, then later tested positive again.

Tested positive does not means having the disease once again.

Also, I've been noticing how the COVID19 is seen as such a minor thing in places such as the United States but where I live news coverage is very vast on the COVID19 and it frustrates me to see the news in the US talk about things that news here covered and proved/disproved weeks ago. For example, it has been proven here that
My bad, English is my second language. I was saying that they have been proven to carry the disease once again after being 100% cleared from the hospital to not carry a single COVID19 virus in their body.

If you want my sources, then feel free to ask, ill try with the best of my ability to translate any covid19-related Korean article to you to prove my point as I don't think my English is enough to fully explain how this is possible.

and yes lol I would agree on that

English is my second language too. What I meant is that after recovery your body is immune to the disease, however you may still carry the virus(and transferred to others) after contact a ill person, but yourself will not going to ill again.
