    Just over clock in the BIOS its much more stable that way anyhow.

    I don't have a BIOS, and my EFI has no overclocking option. Here's what I got running in the outdated and 32-bit version of Wine:

    Pretty lame. And of course compiling the latest 64-bit Wine gave me two random syntax errors. Of course.

    Pretty decent results for a stock i7 2700k in my opinion :)

    Totally stock non-overclocked blah...blah.
    I'll believe this when I get 5 Moonhawks on DRI at 30FPS.

    Lol this benchmark... So your laptop CPU scores higher than mine but then your in-game performance is much slower than mine, so what's the point of this benchmark? Certainly not measure in-game performance.

    I believe this is just purely a cpu processing benchmark. Yeah while a computer can handle 5 cars cpu wise the gpu is another story.

    Nice! I dont think i'll add the 5GHz result to the doc, since its performing worse than the 4.8GHz result. Would be nice to see that kind of clocks with the cooling capacity to not throttle them!

    Nadeox has some problem with his CPU. In the CPU performance drive thread we already noticed he was getting really low fps, and here we can see that his CPU (i5 2500k) is performing as a Q6600 with the same clocks, when I have the same CPU (i5 2500k) and I'm getting more than double his score.

    Yep, definitely seems too low. Maybe poor cooling, lots of dust and its thermal throttling?

    Or perhaps Turbo boost is turned off?

    Re: BANANA Bench (Beam ANAlysis NAarrator) Results

    I noticed that we both have the 2500k and Nateox has the regular 2500.

    @3.3 = 26.096 <<Nateox seems rather low
    @4.0 = 51.347 = 96.76% increase over 3.3
    @4.2 = 52.742 = 2.71% increase over 4.0
    @4.6 = 57.579 = 9.17% increase over 4.2

    From 4.0 to 4.6 equals a 12.13% performance increase. Take the 2.71% increase from 4.0 to 4.2 and divide by 2 for a 1.35%.

    Now adding the 12.13 + 1.35 gives 13.48% for the 3.3GHz to 4.0GHz difference of 0.7Ghz

    Using the above information gives a better representation of data

    @3.3 = 44.426 = Default clock speed estimation
    @4.0 = 51.347 = 13.48% increase over 3.3
    @4.2 = 52.742 = 2.71% increase over 4.0
    @4.6 = 57.579 = 9.17% increase over 4.2

    Attached is a screenshot showing both Davidbc and myself have 2500K vs Nateox regular 2500... The K is simply an unlocked edition which can be over-clocked all the CPU's are technically the same but thought I would add that in.

    Oc'd to 4.6ghz, and got amazing results, I forgot to mention, my last test had turbo disabled, so it didnt ramp up to 3.9ghz under load or anything, so it was just flat 3.5ghz for the last one.
    Intel Core i7 2700k again
