    That's kinda interesting how the performance of your old Core 2 Quad and my newer dual core Sandy were very similar.

    I think it would be totally fine, since its all written in lua it shouldn't matter what architecture you have behind you. Like i said the problem is when you get to the exe files. Since the devs are working on a linux port (to my knowledge) it may be possible that they already have the files needed for banana bench working on linux.

    You sir are the insane one of this forum for computer performance standards....is your machine stable at 4.9Ghz or can you push it to 5Ghz+?

    4.9GHz is borderline stable, I am limited by ambient temperature though (around 30°C ambient). In winter I can run 5.0GHz stable (Prime95 with AVX) at a reasonable voltage and temperature.

    Thats got to be the fastest processor here...I wonder what the 5960X Haswell-E will be capable of...I am guessing well over 100 Mbeams/s at least...but thats guess work we wont know for another 2 months!
