WIP Beta released Avro Arrow 1.0RC2

Hey Dumm, when you finish the AN-12, will you make another plane made by Avro ?
Maybe an Avro Anson or an Avro York.

 

I noticed something where the plane tends to slide around if on a trailer, like sliding forward...stuff like that.

HOW TO REPRODUCE NOTICE:
-Spawn flatbed trailer on flat ground.
-Spawn Avro Arrow.
-Remove all the parts.
-Place the Arrow on the trailer.

Hope this thing gets fixed in the future.

 

Awesome mod! its great seeing more planes make it into the game....

one idea thought...
could it get the bombs from B25 and machine gun from the technical D-series?
it'd be awesome to see a fully armed plane

rockets would be even cooler

 

Maybe someday I'll make a plane that supports proper armaments

I have this problem where the controls dont show up and I can't control it, think its a conflicting mod?

 

Plane rolls too much to the left. Even at mach 1 it still wants to nose dive (like if the wings were assymetric) And the air brakes are pretty damn weak. Other than that, it seems like even if i do a 200 mph landing, the tires explode.

Other than that, this is a fantastic and flawless mod.

 

You're landing way too hard then. + Air brakes are enough to pull your nose down, they are fairly strong.

 

The plane does still tend to roll to the left in straight flight.

 

No, i didn't mean that the plane would dive down with the airbrakes. Even at mach one with no airbrakes nor landing gear the plane would still want to aim down.

And are you sure you just dont need to strenghten the wheels? because i was landing just above stall speed as light as i could possibly do it and they still blew up.

 

You said the airbrakes were weak, and I'm explaining that they are not.

IRL Aircraft get their lift based on their speed, the faster they go = more nose up, slower = more nose down. Nothing I can really do to "fix" the way aerodynamics work.

Also, I've done several landings, many that were almost hard enough to break the gears off because I had too short of an approach. I've only popped the tires in cases where I land way too hard / fast.

 

Ok. Maybe its because i am landing with a keyboard. And if the airbrakes work like that IRL i cant argue the plane having shitty brakes.

But the reason why the planes get more lift the faster they go is mostly because their wings are asymmetrical. Are you sure the wings of the avro mod aren?

Are you using the Mk3 or the Mk1?

Strange. Mk1 works just fine to me. Are you using the last up to date mod and game? have you tried with just the avro mod installed?

would love if you added some controller support as i find it very difficult to set up myself thanks

 

You can fly it with a controller by putting the axis controlls for the joystick for example
