We can, yes, but honestly this would have to be really low on our priority list. Higher priorities are things like surface audio, water splashes, environment raytracing, cabin raytracing, collision revamp, investigating new audio system for engine sounds, UI revamp, potentially music etc. etc. etc. Not this year though. Time to take some time off. Happy Holidays to you all!
Kind of on topic, but not really at the same time. When did the LeGran's backfire sound change? I tried it out today after not playing with it since 0.20 & I have to say that I love the unique backfire sound it has; noice little "pop" instead of a "bang"
Some of the backfires were updated for 0.20. I still have to map some of them, other stuff just keeps coming up..
Wind sounds are excellent now, really adds to the sense of speed! Also cool to notice that tire roll sounds get louder when taking the corner on the outer loop on gridmap (not sure if it was a thing before the recent update.)
not sure if this can be fixed, but i've recently got a set of bluetooth headphones, and i've found that when re-pairing them, often if the game is running, the game will freeze permanently and requires to be manually exited.
This needs to be sent to support rather than feedback, so it can be ticketed and looked in to properly. Thanks.
Idk if this is the right place for suggestions. But it would be cool to have an option to keep audio when tabbing out, rather than it being muted, similar to the controller setting, although that one seems broken atm It would open up possibilities for things like live replays without losing game audio for multiplayer event streams and such
There is a hidden setting for this. If you go here (edited): Documents\BeamNG.drive\settings and edit game-settings.cs set this flag $pref::SFX::muteOnWindowLoseFocus = 0;
Thanks alot!! I've been looking for this for quite some time now, kinda surprised i didn't find that tbh xD It was in my user folder though and not AppData
Random question: what if a dev makes their own changes to the game that were not planned, is it possible to accidentally include them in an update somehow or is there something to prevent that?
It can happen, yes. It's very fluid development here. We come up with ideas and we're allowed to try them out. I think that's one of the beauties of working on a popular independent game. A good example of this was the brake squeal where we were trying to get it ready for release and realised we needed to hold so we removed it... except we hadn't removed all of it.. and some peeps go through our files looking for new things to add to the speculation thread The work I'm doing at the moment wasn't close to being finished for 0.21 but we decided to keep it some of it in to gage response, and sometimes those responses help drive the direction of the feature.
Hi! I am trying to upload an .mp3 file for my jukebox, I was succesful with uploading a previous file, but every time I try to upload the next one, regardless of the 4 I would like to upload, I receive a failure with the code 413.
