Attempted to update; no result?

I just tried to update to the Pre-Race Update, but the updater didn't seem to work. I downloaded the ZIP containing the update, opened it, then selected the updater inside the archive. After punching in my serial number, it downloaded for a few hours, completed. I let it seed for about an hour afterward. When I finally tried to play, nothing had changed. I looked through the game files and noticed that none of the files were updated either. I tried running the original updater, which didn't do anything. I also tried running the new updater again. It checked all the files in about 10 minutes, then went straight to seeding (presumably because all of the files were there). Does anyone know what the problem is?

 

Are you using the same shortcut as you were before? Make sure to check if you are using the launcher from the pre-race update.

 

Just remember that it doesn't replace any files, it makes a new folder (alpha_prerace). That also means that you have to make a shortcut from the new folder so that you don't just launch the old game.

Ahhh that was the problem. I forgot to fix the old shortcuts, so I was just loading the old game. Thanks!
