If you don't need the trailers and whatnot to be destructible, you could just place them as static meshes by extracting the .dae from the vehicle files and putting them in the "[level name]/art/shapes" folder and bringing over any used textures as well.
Small progress update...... Starting to add lighting in the main city and bridge..... Made a decent trailer park with all trailers being assets now instead of vehicles and started adding lighting for them along with the spawn town...... More coming soon, I'm working on this as I get the time, so it wont be finished for weeks/months. Need to rework my roads, place more vegetation, clear up jagged terrain, and I'm redoing the creek to save on performance.
Small Update on progress....... Added a Water Wheel thanks to Terry Martin over at BeamNG - Mods, Assets, Solutions on YouTube Here's a ride from the Spawn town to Beamsburgh, really shows the scale of the map. Lastly. here's a better look at the highway system. Feels to be a few miles long, not sure on actual size.
I am not sure if it is 100% accurate, but you can use the length of the decal roads to estimate the length of the highway
Yeah, didn't realize the road length was above everything in the inspector window. I've started adding a dragstrip after finding out I could get the distance. You guys can expect to see that in a couple days.
Update...... Added a dragstrip and working on lighting for it. Missions coming when i learn to make them..... Here's a quick drive to the player home 1 from one of the truck stops. Just playing around here.
Think rylmods patreon, not 100% though. --- Post updated --- Small progress update. I've been working on a farm and adding in some more of Terry Martins uploads, so credit him for the cattle gate and the deer. Here's a small teaser vid of those....
That truckstop player home video actually reminded me of when I actually enjoyed american truck "simulator" when playing it for the first time. Those rose tinted glasses have heavily worn off by now. --- Post updated --- And the road layouts are actually set up realistically, the surroundings just obviously need work.
Hopefully this works lol, its about as good as I can make it. Had to use Italy assets and the cargo ships and planes from another map, Will credit everyone when done. Not sure what will stay and what won't. I really should learn to model shit myself, but man its daunting from a beginner POV. Yeah, I love truck sim myself. Wanted to get a good rp map started for truckers and I really believe this one is gonna be good. I'm taking my time on release though, want it to be pretty good.
I've mentioned this once but I'm gonna do it again Is there any chance to change that grass texture? I'm not a huge fan of it
